This was a wonderful way to spend an hour, in a beautiful setting enjoying music. Even if you do not like classical music, you can't help but enjoy this. The concert was held in a beautiful room of the Bonerowski Palace and performed by a very talented pianist. At intermission they serve wine and water. My husband and I were traveling with our 20 year old daughter and all enjoyed it.
My Recommendation Tip
My friend and I spent a week in Florence together and this class was definitely a highlight of our trip. Antonella, the guide was amazing. Very knowledgeable, friendly and sweet, she added a lot to the day. First we went on a walking tour of the food market and some shops along the way to buy everything we would be cooking. Then after a short ride to a beautiful farmhouse in Tuscany, we cooked a fantastic meal under the directions of Carmela. Although she spoke no English, with Antonella's translations and Carmela's enthusiasm, the day was fantastic. Lots of wine, fun people and a gorgeous backdrop, the day was very memorable. Would highly recommend to anyone that would like to experience something a little different while in Florence.
My husband and I had a fantastic day on our Tuscan bike ride. Definitely a highlight of our two week trip in Italy. The tour leaders were fantastic. Laura and Joey were very friendly and helpful. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. On the way to the winery we stopped at a local "deli" which was a place we never would have been to without them, totally off of the beaten path. The winery was alot of fun and we learned about making wine. The biking was a little challenging at first but definitely doable. A few of us walked our bikes up the first hill but after that it was fine. Joey was there in his van following in case anyone wanted a lift but was not necessary for most. We would highly recommend this trip. It was a great thing to do to get a day in the countryside, exercise and do something different.
This was a highlight of our stay in Florence. I took this with my friend who I was traveling with and it was a fantastic day. Antonella, who ran the day was very friendly, knowledgeable and added a lot to the experience. Our walk through the market to buy the food to take to the farmhouse was interesting. The farmhouse where we did the cooking was absolutely a beautiful setting. The views were amazing and it was a great kitchen. The chef was a lot of fun even though she spoke no English, Antonella did all of the translating. We had a delicious meal, good wine and a really nice day with a great group of people. I would highly recommend!
This is a great way to see the Vatican and cut the lines. It also enables you to get in before the crowds build up. The tour guide pointed out alot of things that we never would have seen if we just walked through ourselves so it was definitely worth doing. The only minor complaint is that she assumed that most of us had more knowledge of the history of the Catholic religion and popes than we had so some of what she was saying could have been explained a bit better. Overall it was a worthwhile trip.
