The woman who toured us was amazing. She was kind, organized and very thorough. She gave us so much information about the Colosseum and living in the historical times of Rome. I would recommend this tour to anyone I know that is going to Rome! Our family of 4, our children being 19 and 21 enjoyed it as well.
Although it may be a scheduling issue with the number of visitors that go through the Colosseum each day, we would also have enjoyed a shorter condensed version. But then, alas, we wouldn't have received the charm of our guide or had such an invaluable history lesson!
We would recommend this tour to anyone that is going to the Vatican and would like to get a thorough lesson in history! :-) Our guide, an art graduate, gave us that and more. The tour was organized, on time, and as advertised, we skipped the line.
Our family of 4, our children being 19 and 21, enjoyed ourselves very much! To note: The Vatican has a great gift store!
The Accademia tour did not end up at all as advertised. We did not "skip the line", and ended up waiting so much longer than we would have if we had just bought tickets and went in. The local company did say locate in an obvious area and were more than difficult to find. I would recommend they hold a Viator sign when hosting your tours, as that is what is on our vouchers. We ended up getting our tickets from the guide and went through the "purchased tickets" line, where there were about 10 people. Those that chose to stay with the group, went to the back of the "tour group" line (Viator being part of that) where it went from the entry and wrapped around one of the sides, with probably 200 people waiting.
To our guides defense, she was kind and tried to be very accommodating. She gaves us our tickets and we did a self guided tour through The Accademia.
When we scheduled our Accademia tour, we also scheduled The Uffizi Gallery Tour. Is speaking with the representative on the phone when booking, they said that it could be done, but we would need to leave the first tour a little early to make the second, which we were fine with. With all of the struggles of the first tour, we missed our second. We asked the guide if we could get our tickets for the second tour at Accademia, because we planned to hurry so that we could tour Uffizi, and make it back to our ship in time. She said she could not, did not have them, which we do understand. But all in all, a disappointment
