Finding the central site to board the train was a bit of a challenge....Otherwise, the bus was so comfortable as we drove to Giverny...and thoroughly enjoyed Monet's home/garden! The lunch venue was so picturesque and the table wine put us all in a festive mood...Versailles was amazing and my only gripe is that it was unclear where we were to find the bus...getting ourselves a bit lost on the grounds...but we still made it back in time. A true adventure, all in all.
The site was amazing...and Connor was a fantastically energetic tour guide with information galore! I felt kind of sorry for the lines of people waiting, as we buzzed by them to the group entrance, but that's why we purchased the tour...wonderful views and a great tour!
Oh my goodness...rising out of the side of the mountain is the Castle! Given the elevation, I'm SO glad we had the option of taking a bus up to the castle..and SHOULD have taken it round-trip! Mike, our guide, was a blast on the bus and a font of knowledge...Definitely glad we booked this tour, especially given our limited time in Germany...Mary's Bridge is a great experience and I really enjoyed the artist and the hurdy-gurdy man that "entertain" there...felt like walking back in time...
