Experience Lisbon: Small-Group Walking Tour with Food and Wine Tastings

Lisbon, Portugal

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

This was an excellent tour well worth the cost. The group was only 6 people. We saw Lisbon as the locals would. The tastings were very good. The ferry ride was also enjoyable. Next time I would take the elevator to the top of the hill and pay the extra euros.

Sintra and Cascais Small-Group Day Trip from Lisbon

Lisbon, Portugal

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

This was an excellent tour well worth the money. Our group was only 6 people. The guide was able to drive and narrate the sights. Because the group was small we were able to move quickly and see more. The 'Disney-like' castle was fascinating as were the other stops along the way.

Lisbon Sunset Small-Group Walking Tour with Fado Performance

Lisbon, Portugal

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

This was an excellent tour well worth the money. The guide, Joanna, was friendly and caring. We enjoyed seeing parts of Lisbon at twilight and going into areas we wouldn't venture into alone. The Fado group was very entertaining. The food served was typical and not very exciting.

Lisbon City Sightseeing Tour

Lisbon, Portugal

My Rating
1 star rating: I do not recommend this

My Review

The tour offered hotel pick up. We thought this a good thing. We were told the pick up for the 9AM tour would be close to our hotel, but at 8 AM. In some places this is a bonus....no one advised that the 'gathering point' for our and many other tours was just a ten minute walk from our hotel. We spent the next hour driving up and down the area stopping and picking up passengers for all the tours before finally arriving at the previously mentioned gathering point. Then when the chaos subsided and tourists and busses were sorted out the tour actually began at 9:30AM. There is not much to see in Lisbon from a bus. A taxi to the destination area would have taken 5 minutes and the 4 sites visited are an easy stroll from one another. We just drove back and forth from site to site. Our poor guide did her best, but was saddled with having to give the tour in FOUR languages ('due to the crisis'). Tedious for her, boring and uninformative for the passengers. I would say do not take this tour!

Seville Night Tour with Tablao Flamenco Show

Seville, Spain

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

This was an excellent tour well worth the money. The tour at twilight was interesting and gave a good overview of the City. The Flamenco show was very entertaining. The dinner was particularly good and there was so much wine that we couldn't possibly finish it all.

Madrid Combo: City Sightseeing and Skip-the-Line Prado Museum Tour

Madrid, Spain

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Take this tour. It is a great overview of Madrid, its palaces, architecture and art galleries with some walking in order to experience the small winding streets and plazas. The quick entry into the Prado (skip the line) is particularly useful but the best part was the guided tour where we saved hours trying to find the key artists and their masterpieces. Our guide spent extra time with us (4 people!) and we learned so much about each artist and the period in which he painted.

Skip the Line: Best of Barcelona Tour including Sagrada Familia

Barcelona, Spain

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Take this tour! Otherwise, the line for the Sagrada Familia goes on and on and you can stand in the sun waiting for hours. The whimsical architecture is amazing and can't be missed. The tour also included an excellent overview of beautiful Barcelona with a number of stops to walk around special sites. We stopped at MontJuic for a scenic view of Barcelona, the old city with its narrow streets and palaces tucked away with plazas also tucked away, and a nice stop (on the full day tour) at Guell Park, with a chance to spend time looking at other Gaudi houses and related art. It was a really fun day and ended with the remarkable tour inside La Pedrera, a condo building designed by Gaudi.
