This was a last minute holiday to Japan. I couldn't buy tickets to the Ghibli Museum through the authorised Australian outlet, so was very please to obtain them by going on this tour.
Travelling by train and local bus was fun. Our guide was good, though we did have difficulty hearing her in some of the museum rooms as they were a bit noisy. Nevertheless, it was good fun and we had a good afternoon.
Each stop was announced in rapid Italian, which was unintelligible for most of us. The stops weren't explained, so had no idea why we stopped at most of them.
The highlight was Fiesole, a town that was relatively low key for one that has a daily tour stop there. Great roman ruins to explore.
Great. Glass making display really interesting. Wouldn't have minded seeing a bit of the town of Murano, but missed it as I was so interested in the glassware. Burano a lovely place to walk around, with some beautiful lace to admire and purchase.
