Tokyo by Night: Japanese Food Tour

Tokyo, Japan

My Rating
1 star rating: I do not recommend this

My Review

We had two food stops. The first stop we had an appetizer of raw cabbage and two vege sticks, a beer or sake, and a meatball on a stick. Then, for six guests and the guide, we had to divide four chicken wings and four asparagus spears. That was going to be it until my wife complained that not everyone even got a taste (much less a meal). Only then was more food ordered. We then took a subway to another place where we had two 8-inch pancakes (savory) divided for 7 people. Then a different kind of pancake was ordered, again two for seven people. As we were taken back to the subway we were given a pre-packaged red bean cake from the guide's purse. That was the third course. This tour is not worth $112 per person. Save your money and wander around the food streets and point. You'll save money and have a better experience (and be full too)

Shared Arrival Transfer: Tokyo Narita International Airport to Hotel

Tokyo, Japan

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Great! Driver was waiting for us as we got out of customs. He had a sign with our name clearly displayed. Although we bought a shared transfer we're we're picked up in a private car and delivered directly to our hotel in Tokyo. Taxi for same trip would have cost $170. Driver did not speak English but he already knew where to take us.

Rome Segway Tour

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
We loved the Segway tour. We went up and down hills and went distances that would have worn us out completely if we had tried walking the tour. As soon as we got off we went on line to see if any of the other cities we were visiting had Segway tours. It was very easy to learn to drive the Segway and we quickly became experts.

Roman Gladiator School: Learn How to Become a Gladiator

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
We loved the Gladiator lessons. On our tour there was only my son and I. As a result we had the full attention of the instructor for the full two hours. It was very hot and the exercise strenuous. This is not a tour for the out-of-shape, although our instructor was very good about fitting the lessons to our abilities. This is truly a lesson we were taught 6 different attacks and 6 different defenses. After learning the moves with wooden swords we were dressed in armor and given metal equipment for one last battle.
