Cairns, Palm Cove or Port Douglas, Australia
The guide was great but the tour involved a lot of driving. Not a lot of time was actually spent in the rainforest and what time we were there, was just a short walk through a canopy walkway. It was nice but not really the rainforest experience I thought it would be. The Habitat Sanctuary was nice but again, only 1 hour there as there was so much driving to do. I did love the experience to feed the Kangaroos here. Overall, it was a nice relaxing last day thing to do but if I had to do it again, I would probably choose something different.
The island was really nice and peaceful. I was able to see so many more exotic fish on this trip as opposed to the one I took to Green Island and not have to go too far out to sea. The best place to see the fish was near the rocks near the shore so I felt safer. Great trip.
Beautiful island. You had to go a bit far out to see any fish so I would definitely recommend hiring a life jacket along with the snorkel gear. I made the mistake not to and was overwhelmed at one time by being so far out and had a bit of a panic trying to get back to shore. From the dock, I saw several sea turtles and others who were in the water at the time swam with them. The buffet lunch was good but I wish I would have known there were cheaper (and just as delicious) options on the island then I wouldn't have included that in my trip. Overall, I would go again and recommend it as a nice relaxing day at the beach.
Cairns, Northern Beaches or Palm Cove area
Highlight of my trip. I had the most fun on this trip and considered doing it a second day but had so many other activities already planned.
