Enjoyed the tour--Pena Palace is definitely a place to see. Tour guide, Katarina, was informative and had a good sense of humor.
The tour office was very convenient to our hotel (walking distance) and was in a good location for picture taking, eating and shopping.
We decided on this tour because of entry to Pena Palace--however, timing could be improved as this tour was scheduled only in the afternoon and we left at 2PM. Considering the short daylight time in November, tour should have started earlier and should have an option of having it in the AM. More time needed to see and enjoy the other palace, was given only 20 minutes which was only good for shopping.
Driving by Cascais and Estoril was picturesque, but because it was past sunset, we were not able to take good pictures and truly enjoy the scenery.
Other than these issues which should be addressed, will highly recommend this tour- a must-see.
Guide was knowledgeable and helpful; also had a sense of humor.
We touched on the highlights but would have enjoyed more sights. Lisbon is a city with an old world charm. Architecture is preserved, people are friendly, would definitely recommend Lisbon as a city to see and probably do another tour using the tram.
We wanted to go to Fatima and the trip was worthwhile. However, the tour was scheduled at 2PM but should have started earlier since in November, the day is shorter.
The location of the tour office was far from our hotel but there was hotel pick up and drop off which was a plus. Since the departure point was at the top of the Pombal Square, the tourist kiosk nor the bus had no access to restrooms which could be an inconvenience (the travel time to the site was about an hour).
Other than these, my husband and I enjoyed the tour, would recommend it.
This was an excellent choice for us first timers in Lisbon. As compared to a previous experience from another company in Barcelona, this pick up was not stressful at all. The customer rep was there with our name on it, there was no waiting time (one of the plusses to tour off peak season), the driver was friendly and pleasant. The ride was comfortable and we got dropped off right in front of the hotel. Would recommend.
The tourist office was very convenient but lacked restrooms. The customer reps were helpful.
Tour itself was informative and the Palace tour was beautiful and interesting. Tour guide was knowledgeable.
We had free time after the Palace tour and we were able to see the changing of the guards.
We had only one whole day to spend in the city, and this is a good tour to enjoy the city highlights.
Would definitely recommend.
Loved this city--so scenic and historical. We did the full day trip so we were able to enjoy the highlights.
We chose the full day trip without lunch because of few meals to choose from--there should have been more options. For lunch, we were dropped off NOT in the city center, but by what appeared to be the entrance walkway to the city, where there were few choices for window shopping and restaurants. It appeared to be a long walk to the city center and there were no directions given, just to be on time for the bus pick-up. Then, when we resumed the trip, we passed by the city center where we should have been dropped off as there were more options in what to do with our free time. Also, during part of the morning tour, before the lunch break, we were steered into 2 souvenir shops. For these reasons, I would give the tour a 3 star rating, but a 4 star as the city is historical, picturesque and should be a go-to when in Madrid.
