We absolutely loved this tour in Xi'an. We were amazed by the Terracota Warriors and the beautiful scenery at the Hua Shan mountain. The lunch at the family house was soooo delicious! The guide was always friendly and helpful. I just don't give 5 stars to this tour due to the accommodation at the foot of the mountain. The Hua Shan Hotel was a poor choice: some of the bathroom fixtures broken (e.g. toilet flush), the room was cold (this tour was in Dec), no bottles of water provided and no options for Western breakfast. For the price paid, we should have been placed in a better hotel (at least with better reviews!).
The tour was OK, but for the price paid I think it could have been better.
The guide didn't replied to my emails confirming what time they were coming to pick us up at the hotel. Only after I have sent an email to Viator asking for an answer, the guide replied to my emails at midnight of the day that we were going to the great wall (when we were supposed to be ready at 7.10am!!). Not professional.
We felt that the guide was just saying all this memorised information and not really chatting with us. Besides she took us to this jade factory and tea shop where we felt that employees pushing us to buy their stuff all the time.
Although the weather was not great at all (it raining during 2 days), I had a great time.
Leshan and Emei Shan areas are really worth seeing... the mist even made those places more especial.
My guide was very helpful giving me all the extra details regarding the different temples and places.
