Batu Caves and Temple Tour from Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

My Rating

My Review

Had a great day and our driver was excellent. There were only 4 of us and our guide explained everything. It was a long climb, but we did it slowly and it was wirth the effort. There were lots of monkeys in the cave so beware if you are carrying water bottles or food as they will take them! They were very amusing though. We also stopped at Little India and it was fascinating to watch them making flower garlands. There was also a stop at a batik factory, but beware this is a money making excercise, and very expensive, although I did buy a sarong.

Pulau Ketam Village Tour from Kuala Lumpur Including Thean Hou Temple

My Review

Temple visit was quite nice and the drive and boat trip to the crab island was enjoyable, however, it is not a place I would go back to. I expected to be able to actually visit one of the houses. Meal was quite good, but if they offer you an extra of crab, dont bother, for the amount we had it wasnt worth the money.

Absolutely loved it, even though we had to start at 4.45 am to get our flight, but we were at the other end of the island. Once we arrived we didnt expect to get a good viewing as a US cruise ship had docked, so there were a lot of people, nevertheless we had a good viewing and were able to stay for long time. We seen a total, of siz orangutans. While a couple just stayed on the platform eating, otheres entertained us with their antics. We then went across the centre for a viewing of the snow bears. On returning to the centre, we were privileged to have the company of Sen, a young orangutan who has been rehabilitated, came out of the rain forest and entertained us for ages, just wandering and swinging about. He even came and sat on the benches with us and took hold of my husbands hand. I was also even able able to stroke him, although this is not permitted. I think it was this that made it so enjoyable. You have to really want to see the orangutans to warrant the cost if you have to take a plane ride. We later went to an English tearoom for lunch which was very nice.

Singapore's Chinatown Trishaw Night Tour

My Review

What an exciting experience this was, cycling in the evening through the busy market of China Town and then onto Clark Quay for boat ride. Our drivers were good fun, stereos on trishaws blaring and hooters going. We had a meal in China Town first which was lovely and were taken into a shop where we had our names written in Chinese on a red fan. Really great evening.

Singapore Flyer

My Review

Unfortunately we got of to a bad start. We had our vouchers in hand which we presented at the Flyer, only to be told that we had to change them for a ticket and for that we would have to go to China Town. Really annoyed about this as we then had to get a taxi as it was too far to walk and then another taxi back, all at our expense, so not at all happy. Quite honestly the flyer was not worth all that hassle and would not really recommend this, especially if you have been on one in other countries, all you see is high rise buildings. I suppose the night one might be better if you were having a meal.

Singapore Zoo Morning Tour with optional Jungle Breakfast amongst Orangutans

Singapore, Singapore

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

This was excellent, although you are not actually having breakfast with the orangutans. The buffet breakfast was good with quite a choice and while you are eating the orangutans come to the platform which is only few feet away. There were plenty of them, mums and babies and it was fantastic to be so close to them. We then had the opportunity to stand right in front of them for photo shoots. It was great as they weren't behind barriers and you were so close you could touch them. A brilliant morning and would certainly go again. There was plenty of time to look around the rest of the zoo as well.
