Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum Half-Day Trip from Krakow

My Review: Difficult to call it enjoyable but it is well worth the experience lest we forget what humans can do to each other. My wife had serious misgivings about going but was glad she did although some of the sights were quite shocking and emotional.

Zakopane and Tatras Mountains Day Tour from Krakow

My Review: Don't waste part of your short city break in Krakow on this full day trip. We spent 3 hours getting there and 3 hours getting back and 4 hours in a flea market. The mountain range was pretty but lets face it, we've all seen mountains before and spending all that time travelling was simply not worth it.

My Review: This trip is far too long and unless you are obsessed with John Paul do not go on this trip. We left at 9:30am and didn't get back until 3.00pm. We didnt even stop long enough for lunch or even a cup of coffee.

My Review: Great experience. It was well worth having our own private transport as we could decide where we wanted to go and how much time spent at each attraction. Our guide Lucas was very well informed and great company, so much so that we bought him lunch in a proper and fantastic Polish restaurant called Dorothy's Kitchen.

Interlaken - Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland (from Zurich)

My Review: During the trip to Interlaken our wonderful guide recommended that we go up to the top of Europe on the train through the mountains. It was an extra 110CHF each but I'm glad we did because it turned out to be the most amazing trip ever. Do not take this trip to Interlaken as you will have to hang around for hours waiting for the bus. Book the more expensive trip to the top of Europe. The guide was fantastic, a bundle of energy. Do not come home without going on this trip.

My Review: A very enjoyable day out. The guide was very good. It was a pity that we got caught in rush hour traffic at the end and we were not allowed to get off at our hotel as we passed it on the way back.
