Your day starts off super early. 7:45 we had been picked up from our hotel. A small shuttle bus takes you to a bigger coach bus. You ride for approx 1hour or so until your rest stop. They then drive another hour and first take you to the denote, which is quite beautiful. It gets very crowded and you can barely get a photo in. I didn't try to get into the water, but i heard it was quite chilly. After spending an hour there they drive you to a lunch spot with a local cuisine buffet. It was ok, nothing special. They had a 20 min show of the traditional Mexican dance. When they are done they stand by the only exit with a sign and a basket asking for tips, found that very uncomfortable. Chichenitza is the last stop which is worth listening to the history and seeing the amazing structures. It gets very hot in the sun, so wear sunscreen and wear a hat. Ignore all the sellers who try to sell to you stuff. If your interested you can haggle the prices quite a bit with them. The bus ride back is super long and if your tall sit in the aisle so you can stretch your legs. That is my only complaint. Definitely worth the price and visit.
