3-Day Isle of Skye Small Group Tour from Edinburgh

Edinburgh, United Kingdom

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
This tour was absolutely spectacular and was the highlight of my two-week tour of Europe. I can't recommend it enough. The Scottish Highlands and the Isle of Skye are so beautiful that they are almost impossible to describe in words. They are one of the most magical and compelling places I've ever visited. The tour had the perfect balance of guiding and independent time, and the small group of 16 meant we all got to know each other. It felt more like a big road trip with friends than a regular tour. Our guide, Ruth, was fantastic: she was passionate, energetic and filled with incredible stories of the history and culture of the area, so our time passed quickly in the van. Stops were well spaced out so we never felt like we were driving too much, and we had plenty of time at each place. I dream of the day I can return to this magnificent area of the world. I highly recommend this experience for both first-time and return visitors to Edinburgh!

Ancient Ostia Small Group Day Trip from Rome

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
I absolutely loved this tour to Ostia Antica. I had been in Rome multiple times, and this time really wanted to experience some of the areas outside of the busy city. I had never heard of Ostia Antica, but read great reviews, and I completely agree with many that the city is better preserved and more complete than the ruins of Pompeii. Our guide Rebecca was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the subject, and found a way to draw us all in personally to the information she was giving. The group was nice and small so we all got to know each other and it was easy to stay together. I highly recommend this for anyone interested in archaeology or just interested in experiencing something different from the hustle and bustle of the center city!

Castelli Romani Half-Day Tour from Rome: Frascati and Castelgandolfi

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
This was a lovely way to spend an afternoon exploring the area out side of Rome. I had never heard of Castelli Romani but was looking for a way to experience some of the countryside around the city. The views of the charming hilltop towns were lovely, and it was nice to stop to get a view of the Pope's summer residence of Castelgandolfo from Lake Albano. The highlight was a walk through the town of Frascati with a stop for a lovely snack and local white wine. I look forward to visiting the area again!

Catacombs and Roman Countryside Half-Day Walking Tour

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
This was the highlight of my trip to Rome! It was wonderful to spend a beautiful spring day exploring this area that is just outside of Rome yet feels like a different world. I've been to Rome multiple times but never explored the countryside before and wanted to try something different. The catacombs were fascinating, the aqueduct was impressive, and I particularly liked the walk along the ancient Appian Way, where we saw some of the original stone paving. The group was small and intimate, and our guide Inger was fantastic; she was friendly and full of knowledge and made the day special. Highly recommended for those that want to see a different side of Rome and catch a glimpse of the spectacular countryside!

My Review
Rome is beautiful at night! I did this tour at the beginning of my trip, and it was a great introduction to the city. Our guide Marcello was a lot of fun, and I really liked that we made two stops and explored the city on foot as well as by bus. I particularly liked the stop in Trastevere, which is a charming neighborhood.

Viator VIP: Exclusive Rome Rooftop Dinner and Colosseum Night Tour Including Underground Chambers

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
This was a truly unique and special experience! The dinner was in a great location, with beautiful views overlooking the Forum. It was fun to try typical Roman dishes in such a great setting, and the glass of prosecco on the terrace was a nice touch. I had visited the Colosseum multiple times before, but never at night. It was incredible to be among so few other people and to see the amazing structure in a new and special way. I highly recommended this experience for both first-time and repeat visitors to Rome!

Berlin City Hop-on Hop-off Tour

Berlin, Germany

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
This was a great introduction to the city of Berlin. I hadn't visited in nearly 20 years, so this was the perfect way to get a sense of the city and understand how the different neighborhoods fit together. I rode the circuit straight through on my first day to get an overview of the city and also to help me decide which areas and attractions I wanted to go back and visit later in my trip.

Go Chicago Card

Chicago, Illinois

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
I really enjoyed having the Go Chicago card on my recent trip to Chicago. I had just a few days to explore the city, and this made it easy to make sure I did some of the highlights including Skydeck Chicago (at Willis Tower), 360 Chicago (at the John Hancock Observatory) and a fun hop-on hop-off bus tour around the city, which gave a great introduction to the city and helped me decide which places I wanted to visit in more depth.

Chicago Architecture River Cruise

Chicago, Illinois

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
The Chicago Architecture River Cruise was the perfect introduction to the city. I'd been wanting to visit Chicago for a long time, and this was a great way to get to see the city's amazing buildings a different way. We did this on my first day in Chicago, so it was a good way to learn about the history and architecture and set the scene for what I was to see the rest of the trip. Our guide was great, giving tons of information and also telling fun stories. I definitely recommend this for any visitor to Chicago!

Grand Canyon All American Helicopter Tour

Las Vegas, Nevada

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
The All American Helicopter Tour was a highlight of my visit to Las Vegas! I have been to the Grand Canyon several times, but seeing it from the air was an entirely different experience. It was so emotional seeing the canyon as we pulled over the rim and started to descend that it brought tears to my eyes. Even the flight to the canyon, as we flew over Hoover Dam and the amazingly blue Lake Mead, was spectacular in and of itself, so getting to the canyon was almost like a bonus. I took the early morning flight, which was amazing as we flew into the glowing rising sun. Our pilot, Fred, was fun, gave good information and made us all feel very comfortable. The picnic at the bluff on the canyon was lovely. We were lucky enough to be the only helicopter there, so we had the place to ourselves and had some time to explore. It was also really fun to be picked up from my hotel in a stretch limo. All-in-all a great experience!
