Prior reviews were on target so we knew what to expect. The guide Tony was very good. The Jade Factory was disappointing with very pushy salesmen and product that was not very appealing. Found more interesting items at the Panjiayuan market on our own.

Very busy day. We did not actually go into Tiananmen but viewed it from across the busy street. Our guide Mr Jackie Lee was very knowledgeable, and very enthusiastically pro-China. The Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven were jammed but we made the most of it

We ended up with a private tour with Elisabetta (please forgive me if the spelling is off). She was amazingly knowledgable and made the tour so much more interesting and personal. While the price was more than I had hoped to pay, I have to say that it was worth it!
