What a great tour. Our guide was Roberto and he was upbeat, funny and energetic from 7:30am on. He was very knowledgeable about Vesuvius and Pompeii and shared his knowledge on the drive down. He made sure everyone was accounted for so we never had to worry about being left behind. Roberto's sharing of facts about Vesuvius and folklore about the area added to the entire experience.

Susanna was a great guide and this was a wonderful tour. She knew a lot about the Coliseum and enhanced her talk with photos of what the site looked like years ago. She was funny and knowledgeable about the Coliseum and the Forum and gave us great ideas for local restaurants for lunch once the tour was over!

A fabulous tour and worth the extra money to have a small group and skip every line. Anna was our guide and she was cheerful, knowledgeable and energetic on a Monday morning at 7:45! She gave us a lot of valuable information about the art of the Vatican and in particular, the Sistine Chapel, so we could fully appreciate it when it was our turn to enter. I highly recommend this tour.

My Review

This tour was history come to life. Guy was extremely knowledgeable about D-Day and provided many anecdotes and pieces of information that made D-Day very real for two Americans who only read about this in history books or saw Hollywood's versions of it. The tour is intimate -- there were only 6 on our tour, which made it even more meaningful and informative.

Most important: Guy went over and above his duties. When a Paris work stoppage cancelled our train and make us scheduled to arrive in Bayeux an hour late, he called the other members of our tour, explained the situation and when they agreed to wait for us, he met us at the train station with my name on a sign, so we didn't miss a minute. He was great!
