Amsterdam Historical City Bike Tour

My Review: Outstanding way to see the city!. Our guide (Sharon) was very knowledgeable of both the city and art history, was engaging, and actually enjoyed talking about her city. The tour lasted almost 4 hours, and we never felt rushed. And if know Amsterdam, bicycles are really the ONLY way to get around, other than on foot. Saw some great sites, and were even lucky enough to be at the Skinny Bridge when the drawbridge was raised. This is a Must Do item in Amsterdam.

My Review: First of all, note that a "canal bus" is not a bus - it's a boat that wanders through the canals to and from your destinations - which is much, much more relaxing and enjoyable than a bus in any city. The ride is hassle free, it gets you close to many of your destinations (close enough to walk to all),and the Van Gogh museum was very interesting. Do this and the Bike Tour, and you have a good chance of seeing all that the city has to offer.

Amsterdam Canals Candlelight Cruise

My Review: We took this trip after a long drive from southern Germany. It was OK (in June, the days are so long there were really no candles necessary.) Our tour guide / narrator was pretty bad - he may have said 100 words total over the course of the evening. Cheese and snacks were nothing special - especially during a time of day when you really want dinner. My recommendation - book one of the many dinner cruises instead - they leave earlier, you see the same sights, and you get a full dinner too.

Skip the Line: Louvre Museum Walking Tour including Venus de Milo and Mona Lisa

My Review: Outstanding, especially if you have limited time. Our guide was knowledgable and engaging, and showed us real highlights of the museum. This is truly the only way to see the Louvre for the first time.

Paris City Tour and Eiffel Tower Half-day Trip

My Review: OK. Got us around to the major sites, but there is a limit to what you can really see from a bus. The stop at the Eifel Tower, however, was great, and the skip the line tickets to get to the first level were definitely the highlight.
