We enjoyed our Kangaroo Island day and thought the Birds of Prey was a particularly fine feature. We splurged and took the flight home option and were glad we did because it was a long day. One disappointment: the bus driver gave us no commentary on the way to the ferry. We had heard that was part of the day and were sorry not to learn more the region through which we travelled.
very informative...great guide...beautiful island...but a long day...
I was impressed with the excellent organization of movement between coaches and ferries. Our driver on the island, Daniel was superb and incredibly knowledgeable of all things and history of the island..The lunch was surprising, not expecting much in the way of catering for large groups, pleasantly surprised by the meal and service. My only criticism of the day. I think the driver should have a board and each time a stop made along the way, it should be written on the board the expected return time to the coach. Not everyone spoke simple English and we were held up by late returns of people not realising we should be on our way. On a day trip like this timing is essential. Thank you for a great day out
Kangaroo Island is such an amazing place. I truly recommend this tour if you have only 1 day available. The schedule is very tight though.. wish we can spend more time at each places so would recommend the 2 days tour if time allows.
We had a great time. The tour guide was great and very informative. The amazing rock formations and time on the beach with the seals was worth this long day.
The only thing you should provide is a language translation. Your drivers are well prepared about locations and explanations, but not all tourists speak english so well to understand them...! A registered not at all live explanation in foreign languages could be sufficient.
A most enjoyable tour with an an interesting and informative coach driver. His experiences and his knowledge of the island made it a great day. Although not his fault, having to pick up extra passengers on the island made lunch too rushed for comfort. Otherwise an excellent tour.
An interesting trip, with the highlight being the Remarkable Rocks and the seals. The only disappointment is that you do not see any other animals, kangaroos, koalas, etc. on this trip!
We thoroughly enjoyed this day out. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer or stayed overnight on the island. It is a very early morning, and it's quite a long journey to the ferry, and not that much available for breakfast on the ferry, so make sure you eat before you go or take snacks. Our only complaint is we spent too long at the seal beach.
A very long day but worth it. If you have lots of time consider taking two days otherwise book yourself a day off afterwards. Good lunch provided and good commentary from the coach driver. Be aware the crossing can be choppy or worse.
This tour is worth doing, but I was a little disappointed that we didn't see more wildlife! It makes for a rather long day.
Really it was a great experience doing it. We did enjoy it!! We did not have enough time for a 2 days tour but one day was also worth doing it.
Kangaroo Island definitely is a must see. The tour offers an interesting trip to great places all over the island, including a nice BBQ for lunch. However, be aware that you will spend most of the day on the coach and you will lose significant time picking up dropping travellers all over the place.
