We were picked up on time by a cheery friendly bus driver who though he hadn't done this tour very often was informative and got to all the wineries and other interesting stops as was on the schedule. We had a most enjoyable day and met some interesting friendly people on the tour. The lunch was very good though we had thought sitting under vines may have been nicer than a restaurant until we considered the fly problem and decided we were probably better off inside.
An excellent day. Pick up was on time and our journey took us through delightful countryside. The range of wines we tasted was very diverse and the atmosphere throughout was very laid back - no high pressure pitches to buy anything. Our guide, Mark, was very friendly, good humoured and informative.
great tour!! thank you for the amazing experience. definitely recommended.
Fantastic day , great vineyards and the commentary from our driver was very informative . I fully recommend the tour.
The tour was great! Our tour guide was knowledgable and engaging. The selection of cellar doors to visit was perfect, and lunch was plentiful and delicious. This is the best wine tour I have been on anywhere in the world!
A wonderful day, our guide, Jane, was thoughtful, attentive, knowledgable and a genuine people person. We would recommend this tour to everyone!
Such an amazing driver/tour guide, he gave us heaps of information abount the city of Adelaide and the Barossa region.
We climbed the Big Rocking Horse, talked across the Whispering wall and were able to experience and diverse range of wineries.
Excellent Tour, even for people that live in SA!!
Was a great day out!! Tour guide was great and overall was a fabulous day out!!
Includes a visit to Maggie Beer's Farm that was one of the highlights of the tour.
Have to admit that I was taken aback by a couple of things on this tour
1- on our voucher it said the tour would start at 7:50 and when I called to confirm I was rold they'd pick us up around 8:50. Even though they told me it was "normal" since the 7:50 time was the time they started picking people up, it was different than all the other tours I had been on.
2- when the guide got to our hotel later than he was supposed to and nobody warned us (in another tour, we had gotten a call to warn us it'd happen)
3- the guide said that we'd be visiting 4 wineries...and I knew that I had paid for a 5 wineries tour..
Let's just say that by then, I thoughwe were on the wrong tour! Turned out the 5th winery was a beer farm where you could taste wine if you wanted...Anyhow! Loved the fact that we went to Jacob's Creek even if it wasn't mentionned in the tour detail
Guide was interesting to listen to but didnt seem that motivated
Really enjoyed! Wines taste so good! And a little of tourism : perfect
Very pleasant day, well-chosen wineries showing the wide Barossa range. Lunch a little disappointing given the description in the tour guide. Beautiful Barossa weather!
We booked this small group tour only 48 hours before the day and to be honest, I was impressed. We were picked up at our accommodation at The Oak Glenelg, conveyed to our comfortable coach. Amber, our tour guide, was excellent and imformative. We enjoyed all the selected vineyrards and particularly enjoyed visiting Maggie Bear's farm. Overall, I would recommend this tour.
Great day tour from Adelaide. Picked up from our hotel and John the driver did a good job with his commentary on interesting and historical facts. The choice of wineries was balanced with a mix of larger players as well as the smaller family owned concerns. The stop at Maggie Beers Farm Shop was a bonus and i could have stayed longer. Lunch was a delicious spread of Italian type platters. A very enjoyable tour and good value.
