Useful Information
Cruising Murray River
Arriving at the Murray Bridge, board the Captain Proud paddle wheeler for a classic 3-hour river cruise. Learn about the river and the region’s history and the role played by paddle boats on Murray River navigation history. The onboard commentary is provided by your captain as you journey along the river. You’ll pass forests of river red gums, houseboats and river towns on your journey -- keep a lookout for cockatoos, pelicans, galahs and kangaroos.
Lunch is served on board the vessel while you cruise, and includes a 2-course meal with a choice of 2 mains and 2 desserts followed by tea, coffee. After your meal, arrive in the river town of Mannum, the birthplace of the Murray River’s 19th-century paddle steamers. Here, you’ll have free time to explore the town and discover its heritage; visit the Mannum Dock Museum (own expense), admire the historic paddle steamers and visit the Mannum Lookout for panoramic views over the Murray River.
The trip back to Adelaide takes you through the scenic Onkaparinga Valley, and includes a visit to Melba's Chocolates to taste fine South Australian chocolates and Woodside Cheeses for a comprehensive cheese tasting before a picturesque journey through Adelaide Hills.

whilst visiting my son in Adelaide I booked myself on this trip and had a wonderful day, the people I met were very friendly, the coach driver was most helpful dropping me near my son's home on return.

Very nice tour guide Hana, interesting tour, but I guess wine tour would have been more fun...
