I took my children for a week trip to the West Edmonton Mall. Our first day we went to Galaxyland and though the kids had a great time, my spouse and I were disappointed as the major rides such as the roller coasters were all closed because of construction. The following day we went to the the Waterpark. WOW what a blast, both adults and kids will have a wonderful time. The waterpark is the best activity in the mall!!!
The rest of the attractions are fun and one can spend many days doing a variety of things without leaving the mall. I highly recommend the WEM for families, even those with young children. Main drawback are the prices at the store and in the food court. If you can shop at other malls and restaurants as this cost to purchase anything at WEM is substantially higher than the stores adjacent to it.

The pass was the best way to experience everything the mall has to offer. We did not get around to ice-skating but enjoyed the water park, amusement park and putt-putt.
