Very nice trip to Capri. We actually had issues with our boat as we approached Capri and had to switch to a different boat. At the end of the day, the owner was waiting for us back in Positano with a gift and a refund offer due to our boat troubles. It was evident that this was simply bad luck and was not a result of anything the tour company did wrong nor was there any way to have prevented it. However, I was impressed at the owner's behavior and respect it a lot. We refused the refund but could not say no to the gift! The way he handled this says a lot about the person he is and the company he runs so I must applaud this and highly recommend to everyone.
We were in Italy a week. This was our best choice of all our activities.
Everything about the trip was perfect. The operators were professional and personable. We would use them again.
This was an AWESOME tour!!! Our captains, Pepe` and Fabio, made sure our group had a wonderful time!! We really enjoyed the small group size along with the beautiful boat for this tour. Pepe`and Fabio were both knowledgeable and super fun. They provided history along the ride and stopped for photographs. We went into the Blue Grotto (which was breathtaking) and then headed to the Island of Capri for lunch and shopping. I would recommend a taxi immediately departing the boat if you want to go on the gondola ride to the top of Mount Solaro. We had the perfect day~ weather, new friends, music, Prosecco, homemade Limoncello, and laughter throughout the entire day! I would absolutely recommend this tour ~ best day of our trip!!! Thanks Pepe` and Fabio :)
Just a great day with our guide/captain Fabio. The size of the group (12) and the size of the boat were perfect and the weather was outstanding. In addition to a enjoying a great view of the Amalfi coast and the island of Capri (Cap-Ree not Capri) we stopped twice to do swimming and snorkeling which was fabulous. We decided as a group not to do the Blue Grotto due to the massive amount of boats ahead of us and the time it was going to take. The white and green grottoes were well worth the time. We enjoyed our time, approximately 4 hours on Capri and I loved the unique style of taxis that we only saw there.
Fabio was a great host and on the way back to Positano he served us some tasty snacks and provided us with his own Lemoncello which I enjoyed. All in all just a great day.
Our captain, Salvatore, was most congenial and informative and also a good fisherman since he caught our lunch. It was a wonderful and fun way to experience the Amalfi Coast. We highly recommend the delicious lunch...SO worth the money.
The tour was great. My wife and I had an extremely comfortable and enjoyable trip. The tour guide (boat captain) spoke excellent English, was very well informed and did that "little bit extra" that separates a tour from a really great enjoyable day. Pepe, you did a great job.
Would recommend this trip for anyone wanting to do a day trip to Capri. The boat is for a max of 12 people which is perfect as there is plenty of room to spread out and relax. Our skipper, Fabio was fantastic and very friendly. 5 Stars!
This trip was wonderful!! The tour guide was great, stopped several times to show us different grottos and served pastries, beer and other refreshments. We stopped to swim on the way to Capri, and stopped to snorkel on the way back. Capri itself was very crowded, but the cruise was amazing! You will not be disappointed.
Amazing place Capri is - highly recommend! Our boat driver was a blast - played music in route, served us fresh fruit and drinks from his cooler. Nice taking a small group tour - there were 6 others and us....and he stopped half way and through out his anchor for us to swim in one of the grotto areas. The water was crystal blue and warm...definitely a highlight! When we arrived in busy port of Capri - it was mobbed w/ people and the lines were long to get to Anacapri at the top - so we made the mistake of following another couple and WALKED literally up to the top. We saw a sign that said "1000 steps" to the top . We're in fairly good shape and are gym people and thought no problem. BIG mistake. These steps were so steep - we had to stop every 15-20 steps the entire way. Took us over 50 minutes in the heat and we were exhausted by the time we reached the top. Never do this!!!! But Anacapri was lovely - enjoyed our time at Capri. The boat driver was a hoot and very pleasant - would go again!
This tour was amazing..Our Captain Fabio was the best!!!! Spectacular views. .wonderful refreshments..and the chance to swim in the beautiful turquoise.water was wonderful...12 people was the perfect amount for the group .met many nice peoole ..Oh and my galaxy phone took great shots.!
We had the most amazing day, Chiara our guide was fabulous. We stopped for a swim there and back. We were given fresh towels and a lovely glass of prosecco on our return journey. There was a cold chest for us all to help ourselves to water, soft drinks or beer. I will definitely be going over to Capri next time I visit the Amalfi Coast and would thoroughly recommend it to all travellers.
A great trip in small group setting. A really fun trip with stops for swimming. Fabio was a super captain and guide! He makes the best limoncello! Highly recommend this cruise!!
Boat captain was awesome! We stopped several times to swim and snorkel! Capri was nice, but very crowded (avoid mid August, I guess!) Stopping for limoncello on the way back was a very nice touch!
This excursion was fantastic from start to finish. We were warmly greeted at the dock in Praiano.
Our cruise to Capri was very comfortable and personal. We saw so much and had such a full day .
This trip was a wonderful, memorable day we will always remember . Our guide Marco was FAB!!!
Captain Fabio was great! He made sure we saw the grotto azzura. Capri is stunning and he also let us swim at various points during the trip. Limoncello and fresh fruit was good too.
Fantastic small group tour! There were 11 of us on the boat all together and there was plenty of space, shaded and unshaded. The skipper was very informative and friendly. He stopped at all the good spots to point out interesting details along the coastline. We were given a couple of opportunities to swim before and after the island visit which was an excellent way to cool off. There was a place to change on the boat and towels were provided to dry off. We had an unlimited supply of drinks throughout the journey which was also great. Capri itself was a little disappointing as it was so busy but that's not the company's fault! Overall we had an excellent day adventure but I would say take travel sickness tablets, just in case, because we had some choppy waters and you're on the boat for about 2 hours initially before getting to Capri.
Wow! What a day to Capri. The driver David was excellent, the boat was nice, the people were great....and the sights were fantastic! Don't miss this and do go into the Blue Grotto (and even swim in it).
We had a fabulous trip on the Amalfi Coast with the Company that Viator set us up with. They Captain of the Boat was so informative, and we felt safe and comfortable the entire time. We left from Praiano, which was nice as we were staying in that city, and most of the other tours were starting in Positano. We stopped to swim twice, saw all the Grottos, and had 4 hours at Capri. There was ample beverages the entire time, including Beers, Prosecco and homemade Limoncello. Would do this again, next time I am there! Thankyou
I cannot say enough about our boat tour. Our captain (I'm sorry but I forgot his name) Was WONDERFUL! He was extremely personable, a good driver and spent a lot of time explaining the area and points of interest. Being able to swim off the boat was so much fun and he even allowed us to stop and swim again on the return trip even though the tour should have been over. I highly recommend this trip!
Good tour, the captain was informative and had a ready supply of drinks and nibbles. It was unfortunate that the sea journey to the island was a little rough and some of the passengers were quite unwell. The sea was sufficiently rough to force closure of the blue grotto, but the features pointed out on the journey were unique and worth capturing in photos. Capri island itself is very pretty, and the funicular ride to Capri village is well worth the trip.
Unfortunately, our trip was cancelled due to inclement weather. We were only in Positano for a couple of days, so we were unable to reschedule for another day. The tour group company was very helpful and promised to refund our money spent for the tickets. Will try this again when we go back to Positano!
The boat ride to and from Capri was wonderful! We were able to swim on the way there and back. Seeing the various Grottos...very enjoyable. The captain on the boat was very nice. Capri itself was a huge disappointment. Extremely overcrowded. Getting from one place to another...very frustrating!!
