Amazing way to see this beautiful city. The boats were on time, the staff was very friendly, and the stops were easy to locate
great way to see the city if you are going to any museum then pre book if you can the queues are very long
This canal trip was excellent, but finding out where and then locating where to get on the canal bus was absolutely frustrating. There are so many canal buses at so many different spots operated by so many canal bus companies with similar colors and markings. I do not mind competition, that makes good business sense, but mass stupidity of greed and rudeness with no sense of propriety is something else.
We spent time on only one of the canal bus tours, it was the longest tour of the the three available that day. That tour was quite enjoyable and informative, but we will never obtain an advance booking in Amsterdam again for a canal bus.
We have used Hop-On Hop-Off in many other European locations with great success, on the other hand we have also hired drivers with limos and guides that were truly wonderful.
Great way to see the city, the wife and I really enjoyed the scenery, The Canal Bus stopped at every major tour location. Would definitely do again on a non raining day (although I think that is a wish in Amsterdam, the water logged city).
The Hop-on Hop-Off Canal Bus was interesting and informative. It allowed us to visit different areas throughout Amsterdam.
the canal boat has some 19 stops . most have tourist attractions nearby but some also offer a look off the touristy radar which is also great. just sitting in the boat offers sightseeing without pounding the pavement for a length of time. There are two lines (routes)to ride on
It was an incredible city to see. We loved the canal trips. Each area covered took you closer within the city. We recommend it. Amazing.
It was fantastic, though a little confusing to start with as we initially thought it was a bus. What a lovely surprise to find out we could go on all routes on this canal bus, it allowed us to visit somany places. highly recommend
Very relaxing. Bus was just very full when starting. If possible make time between busses shorter
We didn't have time to enjoy this experience but passed it on to another family. So much to see and so little time!
A very effective way of visiting widely different parts of the city and at the same time seeing canal-side life. Useful information from the (presumably) recorded narrative about what you're passing although it sometimes got out of synch with the locations.
The best guide was from a young female pilot who gave an amusing alternative narrative and some excellent insights from the point of view of an Amsterdame. Have recommended it and will use it again.
a must have in Amsterdam and allows you to see the city from a different perspective. Convenient as well as it allowed you to use the canal instead of so much walking which was a great advantage. Overall would defiantly recommend having this option.
Great way to tour Amsterdam. Think of this as your city transportation pass for one or two day period. We purchased the 48 hour pass and it was not too much. We actually signed up for the pass for the day we flew in from the U.S. But we were too wiped out to start using it that day. We went to the office right outside Centraal Station to see if we could start the pass the next morning instead...the folks at the tour desk were very friendly and told us "no problem." There are three different loops operating to different sections of Amsterdam...we sampled them all. The canals are truly the best way to get around this beautiful city.
It was a relaxing way to get around Amsterdam, and we saw most of the main sights with good information along the way. The canals are lovely so we couldn't imagine a better way to see Amsterdam. Good value for ,money too.
We were on a cruise ship leaving on Wednesday so we arrived in Amsterdam on Tuesday. Because this is 24 hours, we could take one loop on Tuesday afternoon and another Wednesday morning on the same ticket. It picks up right outside the cruise terminal, but watch the times as it only came once an hour and we missed it by two minutes and ended up walking to the next stop.
