Canal boat was great way to start the day and chill out before setting off on own.ive bar was good way to finish a few laughs and a few drinks!!
The boat trip was good very informative about Amsterdam and enjoyable! The ice bar was different an experience worth trying but not as good as I expected we had shots instead of drinks which is ok if you like shots instead of Smirnoff ice the bar was small and we could not get 2 4d film staff were great
I really enjoyed the canal tour - I wasn't expecting to learn so much! Unfortunately the captain was running 15 minutes late so we started a little disappointed - but my mind was changed as we soared along the water :) The ice bar was lovely too - and on the walk over we found the market. Wrap up warm!
We really enjoyed the canal cruise, very informative, the weather was sunny so that made the cruise even better. Did not think much of the xtracold icebar, you just spend 30 minutes in an industrial freezer, watching a pointless 3D cartoon. Most people left before the allotted time.
I think that the title of this tour is slightly misleading. I was under the impression that the canal cruise would end at/ take you to the icebar. Instead we found that these are two seperate excursions/ activities.
The tourist company you exchange your voucher with were very helpful and we were able to seperate the two over two days as it was quite late in the day when we arrived.
The canal cruise was a really great way to see the city; really informative and relaxing.
We got to the icebar for an enterance around midnight. We sampled a lot of the drinks whilst waiting! Lovely cocktails and some good deals (2 cocktails for 15euros). I really enjoyed the actual icebar room but not all of my group did. Make sure you wear suitable shoes!!! You cannot take photos inside the room but your photo is taken by an 'eskimo' and you can purchase them on exiting the room. You get 2 shots of your choice and the only 'soft drink' on offer was diluted juice.
Although some of the descriptions of the tour are misleading. My group did enjoy the activities and I would reccommend it to others visiting the city.
Canal cruise was insanely boring- Ice bar was sticky and dirty and had a super weird film showing in the middle. Terrible!!!
This has to be the worse tourist trap ever and this was not my first ice bar. The canal cruise is quite good but it does not include the Icebar. You do the two events separatly which means you have to make your own way to the Icebar. On arrival at the Icebar, you are hurried to the "cold room" which is actually quite small (can accomiodate 15-20 max). The overenthousiastic attendant servesa first shot and busies herself frantically at taking pictures of each couple (photos not allowed, only her pictures can be purchased at the end). After the picture ritual, the second shot is served and the group is herded to the small side room with a video screen for the 4d presentation which unfortunatly did not function that day. To compensate a third drink was offered and declined by most (3 drinks in about 15 minutes is a bit much even for heavy drinkers).
Booked this thinking that you got on the cruise and it stopped at the Xtracold Icebar but they are two seperate trips so we never made the crusie ! Ice bar is over rated, we were rushed in, watched a stupid film and rushed out. Wouldnt go back to the ice bar.
