My wife and I highly recommend that first-timers to Amsterdam book this canal cruise for their first night. We treated our college aged daughter in May and it was well worth the reasonable fee to spend 2 leisurely hours slowly maneuvering the canals sipping wine and eating snacks and cheese. We felt this was much more relaxing and low-key than a dinner or theme cruise. The narration was interesting and was in both English and German. The tables are set up in semi-circles so 6 can sit comfortably at each one. The view gave us a unique view of the city and a glimpse into the life of those who live in the 1000 house boats. After the cruise we still had two hours to spend walking around the same areas we had just boated through. Would be perfect also for a private group of 30 50 persons. We will be back!!!

I planned the canal tour as a nice little surprise after proposing to my new fiance! It was definitely what we needed, a beautiful romantic canal wandering ride while we sat back and enjoyed every moment of our special night.

We loved it! Our cruise was not full, so we got our own table and seating area. I would recommend this tour to anyone. My husband said this was the best tour we had on our trip to Holland.

The best time to cruise the canals, there is so much more to see. The architecture along the canals is wonderful, the commentary was very interesting and there was plenty of wine and cheese. I would strongly recommend this evening tour.

It made a really good impression on my girlfriend who had never been to Amsterdam. It's great to see the city during the day but it's just as nice yet different to see it at night, all lit up, riding through the canals with a soft hum of the engine and the gentle sound of the water against the boat. The love music was good but cheesy which made us laugh and feel nostalgic which was all part of the fun. I would recommend this trip to friends. In fact I already have.

Really enjoyable trip. Very gentle and generous helpings of good quality wine and cheese and nibbles. Commentary was informative and amusing without being too intrusive and a good way of seeing the city. It highlighted a few places we decided to visit during the rest of our stay.

Our trip to Amsterdam was the first time we'd been away without the kids and this was the icing on the cake. Don't think this is just any old canal cruising boat - it's specially laid out for dining with comfy seats. Plenty of cheese, nibbles, wine and soft drinks. The guide spoke much less than on the day cruise, which was welcoming on this kind of cruise. We also went around different canals than the earlier guided tours. You may have to share a table at busy times if there are only two of you. We were lucky though - in February half term - there were only 4 'cuddling' couples on our cruise, so we had plenty of seats to ourselves. My wife thought is was very romantic of me to book it - so plenty of brownie points for me! I recommend it.

Top marks. An excellent way to end the first of our three days in Amsterdam. Very relaxing, lovely atmosphere, pleasant wine entertaining commentary and just a great way to spend an evening.

My favorite part of Amsterdam! The cruise was beautiful and the guide was great in pointing out historic sites as we went past. The wine and cheese were nice additions.
