What You Can Expect
Pass alongside Amsterdam’s famous canals, admiring the elegant canal houses and 17th-century tower buildings that abound, and hear their history from your audio guide. The city’s main canal ring is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with history dating back to the Golden Age when the city prospered with new-found affluence.
See top Amsterdam attractions like the Royal Palace where King Willem-Alexander was sworn in as king in April 2013, and then look out over the hustle and bustle of Dam – the city’s vibrant central square. Have your camera ready to capture photos of the Skinny Bridge, which spans the Amstel River, and admire the West Church near the trendy Jordaan neighborhood.
Hop off your bus outside Gassan Diamond Factory in the Nieuwmarkt district, and head inside for your 1-hour walking tour. Gassan Diamonds have been cutting and trading diamonds in the city for centuries, and as you explore the factory you’ll see cutters hard at work, transforming rough stones into dazzling gems.
Your tour finishes inside the factory, but you can stay longer to enjoy a hot drink in the on-site café or browse the gift shop, if you wish. Click on the 'View Additional Info' button below to see your sightseeing bus route.
Tour and Canal Cruise:
If you’re eager to see Amsterdam’s delights from the water, then upgrade to include a 1-hour sightseeing cruise along the canals. Your canal ticket will be given to you together with your bus ticket, and it can be enjoyed on any date (not necessarily on the day of your tour). Cruise through the city and see several top Amsterdam attractions such as Holland Casino, the Anne Frank House, Central Station, Rembrandt House and Vondel Park.
It was good esp for those visiting amsterdam for just a day.
Once we found where to get the bus, the tour was pretty good. The directions to find the bus stop were not very clear and it wasn't marked. The tour was informative, but I could have skipped the diamond factory tour. We did take the optional cruise and that was nice to see the city from a different perspective. We loved visiting Amsterdam and this helped us see more of it.
