Although I'm not a nervous traveller, as I was alone I thought it best to see the Red Light District at night as part of a group. It was a fun experience and the visit to the prostitute information centre was enlightening. I also met up with other solo travellers and we socialised afterwards.

The talk at the Prostitute Info Centre was interesting and very informal, and thought provoking. I did wonder how complete a picture it paints though, as it very much dealt with the licensed 'windows' business.

I expected the tour to be a bit more intimate - given the nature of the beast - but the number of people was too many. Walking that many through the small alleyways and trying to manage hearing the guide was not easy. Also, it didn't really feel like a backstage tour. More like a front line walk. But, I thought it was interesting overall.

Could be done on your own, without a tour. Just walk around the district and you'll know what I mean.

This tour depends on your guide. Ours was OK, but she spent a lot of time on her own opinions. We could have covered more ground with less talk.

Was not keen on the push to see the live sex show, despite being assured it was tastefully done. Perhaps the guide is on commission to sell a particular show. Not sure what the point of the Centre is. She doesn't say anything that the guide could not tell you. Having been there I would not recommend it.
