After a short walk into the city proper, we picked up our bus for the City tour, which was pleasant enough. We had a wonderful woman as guide and her commentary was excellent. Followed by the 1 hour Canal ride, in an open air boat, the whole day went off well and I can find no complaint to lodge.

Not a terrible bus tour, but the stop at the diamond factory was irritating as it was only a sales pitch. Our time in Amsterdam was limited because we were on a cruise top and had only one day to enjoy all that the city had to offer. Being "held hostage" to this sales pitch as part of a two hour tour was very disappointing.
