The tulips at Keukenhoff gardens were so beautiful.. I love the windmills and cheesemaking demo plus the wooden shoes! The quaint houses are simply beautiful. The dinner we had was superb! The trip was worth the money we paid for. Our guide speaks english well. We had a great time.
The Gardens are gorgeous even with the tulip season almost over. Be sure and see the greenhouse with the orchids. Seeing the canal and dike system and how the Dutch manage water was fascinating. The windmills were picturesque.
The Keukenhoff gardens were definitely a highlight with tulips in bloom. In fact thoroughly enjoyed the whole days outing.
Of the three tours we took in Holland, this was the best of the three. The trip through the country side was great and got to see a lot of the sites. We stopped at a wooden shoe makers shop and got to see how they made the shoes. There were lots of shoes there to purchase if you wanted them (sizes were marked with the different shoe sized from the different areas of the world. The windmills were beautiful and it was great to be able to see them inside and how they work. The lunch in Volendam was good. After this part of the tour the trip to Keukenhof Gardens was what we really went on this tour for. We had been to the gardens over 40 years ago and wanted to see how they had changed. Our tour was late in the season and many of the flowers had lost their blooms. Keukenhof Gardens and planted additional tulips throughout the garden so we could see the different types of tulips. We were there just 3 days before the gardens closed this year around May 18th. The size of the gardens had more than doubled since the last time we were there.
great way to see the countryside/ guide was good/keukenhof was beautiful even though the weather our afternoon was cloudy and cold. 100% worth doing
Wonderful tour! Since this was our first visit to Amsterdam this was a great opportunity to see a bit of the outlying areas. Great guide and we really enjoyed our day!
This was a very full day and I thoroughly enjoyed all three places - a great way to learn about the "old Holland" we were taught about as kids. The gardens were absolutely beautiful, the windmills tour and demonstration about making wooden shoes were very interesting and I don't think I have ever seen a more pristine town than Volendam, would have liked more time there.
A must-go tour while in Amsterdam. Beautiful view in Keukonhof garden and Windmills. Highly recommended.
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Great to get into the countryside around Amsterdam and see the sights. We visited the cheese place and the clog making and they were only brief so you didnt feel trapped and obliged to buy as often happens in tours. Tacking on the Keukenhoff gardens was good. We had 3 hours at the gardens which was enough to see all. Well worth it.
What a wonderful tour! The coach was comfortable and clean. The tour guide was knowledgable and pleasant. We booked this tour for the primary reason of seeing Keukenhof. Turns out we enjoyed Zaanse Schans, Voldendam and Marken just as much. I highly recommend this tour for anyone in The Netherlands for a short time who wants to see as much as possible.
The tour was great... well organized....lots to see and lots of information...
Only disappointment was the tulips at Keukenhof ...Knew that Holland had an early spring and that the tulips were probably finished. It is a beautiful garden and can only imagine if we had been 3 weeks earlier. Hope to come again Loved the lily display
Just a little bit disappointed with keukonhoff gardens. There were only few tulips flowers left. The garden must be seen earlier than our schedule( may 18- last day opened to public)
