Our guide was exceptionally informative ,he made the whole tour so interesting and I would definitely recommend this walking tour to anyone who wants a good insight to Amsterdam .
Amazing tour guide "Terry O'Leary" was a wealth of knowledge bring Amsterdam's history alive with his wit and ability to keep his audience captive and engaged throughout his tour...reasonably priced and we'll worth the time - this tour really augments a visit to Amsterdam.
What a wonderful tour we had with Terry as our guide! As the photographer in our family, I was taking pictures around every corner. My husband is the history buff, who completely enjoyed all the historical background Terry gave us. After our tour we were able to enjoy our three days in Amsterdam feeling as though we knew the area pretty well. A great way to begin our vacation!
Terry O'Leary was a wonderful, knowledgeable, humorous guy who provided us with a comprehensive tour of the city and its history. It was totally fascinating! He actually spent over 3 hours with us, which was certainly much longer than we expected. It went amazingly fast, too. This is a great experience for anyone who is interested in learning and loving the city of Amsterdam! And provided us with a sense of what we wanted to revisit on our own.
Terry, our guide was absolutely wonderful! Extremely informative, witty, with an engaging personality. He easily expalined not only the history of what were were seeing but also the past and current culture of Amrsterdam. He answered all questions and expanded on them in very interesting and entertaining ways. This was our favorite Viator excursion along with the trip to Mt. Pilatus in Lucerne, Switzerland. The cost per person was very fair. We certainly got our money's worth over the course of the four hours. We have already reccomended this tour to our friends who may be visiting Amsterdam in the future. A gem!
Excellent tour 17 people were booked so 2 guides turned up to ensure each group was not too large. Very informative our guide was from Cork (Ireland) and very entertaining
This tour is an excellent way of knowing your way around Amsterdam. Our guide Terry from Ireland is very knowledgeable. We learned a lot from him about the history of the city, the important structures and their history. The walking tour was quite long but we had a nice coffee break in between. The tour ended near Anne Frank House, so we had lunch in the area and went to Anne Frank House at 3 pm.
I would highly recommend it.we saw parts of amsterdam we would never normally see and heard lots of history
The tour guide terry oleary was absolutely brilliant and made the tour fun but informative many thanks
My husband was relectant to go on the tour and ended up really glad that we went. Our tour guide Sean was a great historian and kept my 2 teenage sons engaged and interested in learning more about Amsterdam. We learned a tremendous amount about the dutch. This was a great way to start our trip.
We met up with our guide for a very interesting tour around some of the streets we wouldn't have explored on our own. There was everything from the palace in Dam Square to the red light district, located strangely enough right next to where the port was. Our meanderings took us to Rembrandt’s house when he was at his most successful. We saw plenty of canals and found out that Singel, where our hotel room overlooked, was originally a moat and that all the canals are flushed every day by the use of dozens of locks. She told us stories behind the identification plaques on houses and the hidden churches from when Catholicism was outlawed. We both loved the hidden and very picturesque mews with its lovely houses and gardens, such a surprise in such a busy city. Our guide was excellent and really showed us a city we could never have found on our own.
Terry our guide was fabulous. Well worth while. Youll see things you never knew existed. Very nice. Pity we did not order him for a private tour. If you can afford a private tour hes the man.
Our guide was Terry O'Reily was a lot of fun. He had us laughing the whole time. We saw a lot of Amsterdam that day.
