Your 3-hour walking tour of Amsterdam begins in the morning in Dam Square, where your informative guide leads your small group around the historical center. Learn about Amsterdam's history, arts, culture and architecture, from the city’s humble beginnings on the Amstel River to the glorious Golden Age to today.

View the Royal Palace, the famous Dutch East Indies company, the Begijnhof courtyard with its hidden church, the Amsterdam Museum and the old city gates. Admire perfectly preserved 17th-century gabled houses and peaceful tree-lined canals dotted with traditional Dutch houseboats. The walking tour was so much better than expected. There were only 4 in our tour, so it was one on one question and answer session. So much info, wonderful guide. I would highly recommend this tour.

Terry, our guide was very knowledgeable and rather than just giving us a string of facts and dates he made the tour entertaining and he had a great sense of humour. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hours and learnt a lot. We also appreciated the coffee stop.
