Why Our Insiders Chose This Tour
If you want a taste of Belgium (and its yummy chocolates!), this tour makes it simple. You'll explore the lovely lace shops in capital city Brussels and the historic architecture of Antwerp.
What You Can Expect
You'll then take a scenic drive through the Belgian countryside to the lovely city of Brussels. You'll have approximately three hours in Brussels, touring the Royal Palace, seeing the buildings of the European Commission, the grave of the unknown soldier and, of course, the famous statue 'Manneken Pis'. You will also have time to visit a lace factory, go shopping (don't forget the Belgian chocolates!) or take a stroll around the historic town center.
Once you have spent time in Brussels and shopped for souvenirs, board the deluxe coach for your two and a half hours journey back to Amsterdam.
It is a very tight schedule one and actually a number of interesting spots were done on coach. Since it is a day tour, I feel worth for new comers and would be great if brief walking maps could be provided via email instead of getting from local tour office as it helps people to think and plan a bit before.
A very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide who made my tour in Belgium interesting. The locations were great for a day trip culminating in Brussels. My main bug bear was the coach seats were far too cramped and I'm only 5'11. This definitely needs to be addressed. In the end I took the train back from Brussels.
