The trip was nice, but I was a bit annoyed that the host talked up a great chocolate store in Antwerp as being a real "find" and much less expensive than anywhere in Brussels, then argued with the store employee when they wouldn't give her free chocolate for bringing the tourists in. Then I found the same chocolatier minutes away from our hotel back in Amsterdam. Certainly not a "find".

This was not so good.

The tour could have stayed longer or visited more than just one stop while in Brussels. Surely Brussels is more than just the town square.

TOUR GUIDE RUDE, DID NOT WAIT FOR MY HANDICAP WIFE TO BOARD HIS BUS. INSULTED MY DAUGHTER. FOUGHT WITH US. The tour guide was rude. He did not wait for my handicapped wife to board the bus, he insulted my daughter, and he fought with us.

The tour was OK, but it felt rushed in the beginning.

Guide and bus driver were fantastic, but there are area of improvement. Forget Antwerp all together and give out more free time in Brussels. The way the trip is setup now, you get an hour in Antwerp and 90 minutes in Brussels. Well, since you can't eat on the bus, you spend most of your time in Antwerp finding a place to grab a place to eat. They have 1 site to see, the church and square. You could easily do a drive by, get out of the bus for a photo shoot and back on the bus. Brussels is very interesting. I would have the tour spend more time in Brussels.

The Antwerp trip was not as nice as the first one I had made. The guide only took us to the Rubens Cathedral and then showed us a chocolate shop. In a previous trip we were taken to the diamond district, the cathedral and walked downtown. In Brussels we only saw the main square, the Manekin Pis statue and the lace factory. Still I enjoyed both places.

I loved our guide. She was very nice, understandable and interesting. The part that ruined it was that it was just so hot. After being in a bus for that long, then going to the heat for a really long walk you really aren't motivated to do much. We personally did not find there to be anything exciting about this tour. If I had to do it again I'd choose to find another way there and go to the zoo or something more interesting. Good beer and waffles though.

There isn't much to see in Antwerp except Ruben's 4 paintings in the cathedral. Cathedral itself is rather dark and has no architectural significance. The center of the city is full of cheap stores and cafes. Brussels is a better city than Antwerp. Only thing interesting is the square full of guild buildings lacking charm. Buildings look like they were just built big to show off. Brussels is not an attractive city at all. Glad we stayed in Amsterdam, which is a far more interesting, charming, and fashionable city.

From the start, it was chaotic at the meeting point. About 10 tours were meeting at the same time and same place. Everyone was confused about which bus to board. Then, tour guide was inexperienced it was her 2nd tour. The extreme lack of time did not do justice to the beauty offered by Antwerp and Brussels. It will be nice to have longer duration with hotel package, or focus on either one location but not both.
