This was definitely one of the best days we had in Amsterdam! Cycling is an all time classic there, but I would recommend this trip for the fact that it gets you out of the hectic city and out in the fresh air for a different view of the area. Cycling through the city is rather stressful you still have to cycle through it to get out!, but once you hit the countryside it's just beautiful and so relaxing. The paths are all flat, so you don't need to be a pro. Our guide was fantastic, really friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
It was great to experience the countryside of Amsterdam and our tour guide was friendly and taught us a lot about the country.
This was a great tour! My husband and I really enjoyed it. It's very interesting to see other things in the area other than Amsterdam. It was an easy ride - most of it was flat. The only complaint I had was the lunch. The food was good. I ordered tomato soup and some toasties. I got the tomato soup right away but didn't get the toasties until about 5 minutes before it was time to leave. We kept reminding the waitress that I was missing part of my order but it took forever to get it. But the countryside is beautiful - especially the homes with the canals running in front of them. Those were in the small village where we ate lunch.
Wonderful tour that takes you out of bustling Amsterdam into the beautiful quiet countryside. Our guide Carolyn was very helpful and informative. This tour is paced very well with as many stops as you need along the way, you will cycle through the lovely Dutch countryside and through a number of very quaint villages with a lunch stop at a seaside village. I had not ridden a bike for many years but found it was not a problem with the four hours passing by very quickly. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour.
The only downside to this tour was the rain that hit half way through. If the company could invest in some better rain gear it would be helpful on days like this. It might be a good idea to warn people to bring their own. Luckily we were inside having lunch during the worst of the downpour. The guide knew the route and kept an eye on those who fell behind. An easy ride and worth the money. .
Outstanding! Small group, gentle ride, and excellent guide. The towns through which we rode were stunning and the kynch cafe was perfect! This was the best of our visit to amsterdam!
Excellent tour. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. The tour included parts of riding through the city on the way to the countryside. The countryside was beautiful! We rode by old windmills, farms and through small villages. We also stopped at great little restaurant for lunch.
We loved this tour it was so nice to see the countryside, the lunch stop off was really nice too.
We loved our guide. My husband had a flat tire. No problem. He (guide) did not flinch...just patched it and we rode on. It was a beautiful ride and lunch at the pub in the village was fun. Yes...if you're considering it do it. We are comfortable on bikes but there were a few people who had not been on a bike for years. They were a little shaky but I'm positive they loved it too.
We really enjoyed seeing another side of the Netherlands. The bike tour was relaxed. We saw several charming villages. The lunch stop was great; a very picturesque inn with a nice view of the water. The guide was friendly and knowledgable. Well worth the price!
Very good friendly guide easy going relaxed and fun trip. We met some very nice people and also had a nice lunch in one of the villages.
Great tour, thoroughly enjoyed the ride and the information our guide gave as we went along.
This tour was amazing! So glad I did it! I'm pretty short so I was worried they wouldn't have bikes good for my size, but my bike was perfect. The pace of the tour was good and the guide was super nice, very personable, courteous and led the tour very well. I think his name was... Yeltsin? Don't know if I spelled that correctly....Definitely recommend this tour; it was beautiful to see the countryside and very therapeutic to be biking in the sunshine away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We biked about five minutes through the city though just to go to the ferry to cross over, and yes, it was intimidating for me, but manageable. Great tour!
Great tour, loved it! You get to stop and walk around to take in the sites properly, the villages are so cute. Would definitely take again!
Great day. Lots of picturesque scenery and excerise. Riding the bikes was fun. Very interesting contrast to the city of Amsterdam. A most enjoyable day.
Fabulous easy ride around quiet countryside. Just great value. Jan
Fantastic. We are 4 'oldies' in our 60's and we were worried about 'making it'. No problem at all. We were especially worried about how we were getting through the city but it wasn't too bad at all. We then crossed the river on the ferry and we were off. It was absolutely lovely doing what the 'locals' do. Fabulous young man lead the way. Thoroughly recommend. Do it!
Been on this tour twice now, all good, I would recommend it for sure.
This was a great bike ride to the north of the city through farmland and villages dating back to the 1300s. Our guide, Inge, was very knowledgeable and friendly We very much enjoyed getting out of the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam for a few hours. And, the short ferry ride from Centraal across the Amstel was an experience.
Excellent despite some rain the tour was great fun and Ralph our guide as informative and fun to be with.Highly recommeded
We had a fantastic time on our biking adventure! Out tour guide, Izzy (Isabella) was friendly, personable, and fluent in English. It was a leisurely ride through the countryside with intermittent stops to hear some history/facts and then a longer break for lunch. We had a fairly large group and peiple would rotate in/out from riding next to Izzy to ask more questions about life in amsterdam and the land. I enjoyed just riding along and seeing the beautiful sights and not being bombarded with facts at every turn. I highly recommend this tour for riders at any level who just want to experience an afternoon away from busy Amsterdam in the beautiful countryside!
This long bike tour was very doable. Our guide was very knowledgable about the area and we stopped every so often for him to tell us a little something. We had lunch in a cute fishing village before heading back to Amsterdam. Would highly recommend this tour!
