What You Can Expect
Travel along through the city center and the Red Light District, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, where historical bridges and red-lit windows are softly reflected in the water. Listen to live commentary on board about the landmarks and attractions you pass along the way.
The Golden Bend, a stretch of stately mansions, as well as the Herengracht, Amstel and Oudezijds canals, all drift within view. Admire the sight of Amsterdam’s 5-star Grand Hotel, lit up against the sky.
Glide past Oosterdok, the city’s eastern docks, before navigating back to the departure point, where your cruise ends.
Six ladies did this guided evening canal cruise together, we had a wonderful time and the wine was following.
would do it all again
Very enjoyable way to see the city. The wine was kept flowing all night. Big thumbs up.
We had a lovely time on this tour. I went with a friend and we were worried it would be a bit too 'coupley' but we didn't have to worry. Yes, it could be romantic as you as in candlelight but we found it really serene and scenic.
The staff were great - especially the young waiter Michael who chatted away with us and even sang Happy Birthday to me. He kept our wine regularly topped up and we were more than a little tipsy by the time we got off!
We didn't have to share a table but the cruise didn't look fully booked - it may have been because it was a Sunday night in February.
My husband and I loved it. We would do it again when we come back. Tour guide was great and so was the crew.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. The wine was decent and the waitress made sure we always had enough to drink.

Very nice evening cruise. Guide and staff were very nice and they keep the wine coming.
The canal tour no longer provides the 1/2 hour red light district walking tour so we stayed on the boat ride the full two hours which was actually better. Great wine, snacks and commentary. It was very romantic and one guy actually proposed to his girlfriend just as it turned dark and the lights were coming on. Make the cruise even more special. Would really suggest this tour. Very relaxing after a long day.
This tour was amazing!
This ended up being a candlelight canal and harbor cruise as we never did get off the boat to go see the Red Light District. However, my husband and I had a great time and would book this again if ever in Amsterdam. The larger groups were loaded first so they were in the back of the boat. Us and another couple got the two front booths all to ourselves so we could easily hear the captain and tour guide. They were both informative and funny and we learned a great deal about the history of the area. The meat/cheese/snack platter was quite nice and our wine glasses were never empty for very long. Seeing the sun set over the canals and the lights sparkle on the harbor was a highlight of our trip!
Ive recently come back from Amsterdam and I have to say that the red light district cruise and walking tour was by far the best thing we done whilst we were there. Our tour guide and captain were the nicest guys, very friendly and made us giggle. There were two bottles of wine on our table one red and one white and a cheese/ham/nuts plateau which were very yummy. The views were amazing. So pretty at night. On the way back we asked if we were able to have another bottle of wine and they were happy to give to us free of charge. Such a lovely cruise and I would definitely recommend to anyone going to Amsterdam!
