A wonderful tour. I ended up taking 3 canal tours! Not all the same company.

We enjoyed this, however, we did it the first day we were in Amsterdam and we were both so tired from jet lag, so I'm afraid we didn't get as much enjoyment as we had hoped. The other small criticism was that it would have been nice to have an earphone system so we could just have listened to the commentary in English rather than switching back and forth.

It was nice to be able to cruise leisurely around Amsterdam, taking in some of the sights. The timing of our trip just before sunset gave us the best of day and night. Our captain was very friendly, the audio guide was great although a little tedious listening through 4 languages.

I went with my husband and my teenage daughter on this cruise. We had a lot of fun and it didn't seem too long or too short! It's a great way to see the major sites and get a little bit of history.

Easy to find where the trip goes from! Smooth ride, we sat in the back so can't comment on the commentary. Well worth the money!

There are a number of cruise boat companies offering different types of cruises in Amsterdam. Depending on your preference and the dates and length of your stay, I would suggest taking at least one. This was only an overnight stop this trip, so I opted for just a general tour to give my companion an overview of the city. You can generally buy tickets for these cruises right at the pier except for some of the dinner and specialty cruises as there are cruises departing constantly. I prefer to prepay, however, as it is more convenient for me.

I found this to be a perfect beginning to a wonderful trip in Amsterdam. It's beautiful in the evening when all the bridges are lit. I definitely suggest doing this on your first day of arrival, because it's relaxing and enjoyable.

The tour was an enjoyable introduction to Amsterdam, but it was not necessary to book in advance as the boats ran frequently.

Enjoyed this cruise. But no matter where you go in Europe in winter it all seems gloomy. I would definitely do it again in summer.

Great way to spend an hour and give your feet a rest. Don't sit at the back of the boat though, as the engines drown out the commentary at times. We will definitely use Viator again. Hassle free and at a very reasonable price.
