Holland Tulips and Windmills Day Trip from Amsterdam
Next stop is the world-famous "Enclosing dyke", a spectacular strip of land that divides two great masses of water. Here, your guide will tell you about the historic Dutch relationship with the water and how this has shaped the country. Don't forget your camera to catch some truly incredible views.
You'll stop for lunch (additional cost) in the classic Dutch town of Medemblik on the IJsselmeer lake. This is a great opportunity to explore on your own and purchase some delicious Dutch food.
Your first stop of the afternoon will be a tour of a fully working windmill.
The final stop of the day is Zaanse Schans, known as "the windmill village". Aside from the spectacular sights, you'll tour a typical Dutch cheese farm and have the opportunity to taste some of the cheeses yourself before heading back to Amsterdam.

Excellent full day . Well worth the money. Enjoyed the view from Enclosing Dyke. The windmill town of Zaanse Schans was great. Only wish we had more time there. The only thing we didn't get was our free gift from the Tulip Farm.

An excellent full day's tour with a knowledgeable and interesting guide. The only disappointment was that the working windmill that we visited wasn't actually working whilst we were there. Nevertheless, a thoroughly enjoyable day.
