I used the I Amsterdam card twice before and enjoyed it. I guess this time it wasn't as valuable as I intended. For a first time user I think it is excellent but now that I have used it for my third time now I probably wouldn't use it again unless I am with someone who has not experience it. For me I rather get a strippenkart for transportation and pay the small fee for the few places of interest. I stayed on a houseboat for the first time in over 7 trips here, well worth checking it out. There is a website for houseboats, just do a search on google or something. Also if you go to Boom Chicago you can sign up near the front for a boat ride with a non profit organization, it was outstanding and I will do this many more times. Much better than the commercial boat rides. Lot more informative and you get insider info and suggestions from locals. I was introduced to the best traditional dutch apple pie I have ever had.

The shuttle bus round trip that was bought at the same place as the city pass never arrived when we were leaving Amsterdam.

The card is an excellent way to experience many of the attractions the city has to offer. Museums, canal boat rides, and transportation within the city are the highlights of what this card enables. Highly recommended!

The card included all the major sites and other discounts, so it was very good to have. Make sure to go to the Dutch Historical Museum!

We were not able to use the card very much. It is a better bargain if you are going to be able to visit at least two or three locations per day.

Very convenient, although we probably didn't make enough use of it to get the full value. In hindsight, we would have been better off getting a 24 hour instead of 48 hour pass. I would recommend it, but you should probably plan your time better than we did to make full use of it. Highlights were the canal cruise and free croquet!!

We used our I Amsterdam Card as much as possible in the 4 days we were in Amsterdam. We made back the costs of the card on the trams and buses. Well worth considering if you plan on lots of visits and sightseeing.

The card was easy to use. Gave value for money on all the places that are a must to see in Amsterdam. The free travel on the city's trams was a bonus.

If you are going to Amsterdam and want to do the touristy things then it is well worth buying the 'I Amsterdam Card'. I was there recently for just two nights and managed to get a lot done, utilising many of the free entrances and good discounts you get with it. Easily made our money back on it.

The pass is good value for the money, with unlimited tram, bus and subway trips, plus free entrance to over 20 great museums. And don't forget the free 1 hour canal boat tour. We have a great time!

The only thing that I can think of was that we didn't have enough time to do all the things that we hoped to have done.

The I Amsterdam card is only good if you plan on sightseeing in museums. Otherwise, I would go for the much cheaper travel pass, which accomplishes the same thing, travel around the city. I only did a few museums so I barely covered the cost.

We would rate this higher for anyone who wants to see several museums in Amsterdam. Transportation passes are a better value for just getting around the city.
