Keukenhof Tulip Park
Our last day in Amsterdam was spent in this lovely (crowded) park. It is far from the city and the transportation from the airport (while extremely inexpensive) felt like a death trap. 50 people (mostly elderly) crammed into a standing-room-only commuter bus stuck in a traffic jam on the interstate. Ah... memories. A must see, but I think once is enough for me.
Dutch VOC Ship Amsterdam by NEMO
Admission to NEMO Science Center and the VOC Ship are included in the I Amsterdam card, but we did not take advantage of that on this trip. This photo was taken from the Holland Internation 100 Highlights tour which is also included in the I Amsterdam Card.
Holland Internation 100 Highlights Canal Cruise
Photo taken at the intersection of Prinsengracht and Reguliersgracht. This was a nice change of pace... to sit in a boat for an hour and let the city come to us. I got a map from the hotel (we stayed at the Renaissance- highly recommended) and I followed along on the map while we took the cruise. Maybe we should have done this the first or second day we were there.
Restaurant Del Belhamel
We had dinner here the last night of our stay. It was expensive, but the food and service were excellent.
Great pass, lots of great sites on it. The canal cruise was our favorite. Read more ›
