We decided to fly visit the gardens on April 26, 2011 and combine with the Flower Parade that happens once a year. We visited the gardens in the morning and parade in the afternoon. The "tulip blooms" cannot be guaranteed but travelling mid-April gives you one of the best chances to see the gardens in all of their glory.
