Gardens are amazing and beautiful. so much to see, free time time was brilliant to just wander around at your own leisure. several places to grab a drink or food. tulip farm was informative, although I was late in season (early May) so no tulips left, due to an early spring.
My #1 main reason for visiting Holland this past May was to see the tulips in bloom and the trip to the Keukenhof Gardens was a bonus - A MUST SEE. Be sure to wear comfy shoes and a fully charged camera battery. You will take 100's of photos.
This was such a great experience! The farm visit was interesting and the fields of flowers there were amazing. Definitely worth it to see how the farmers plant/harvest the bulbs. Keukenhof was also great, a must see if you're in Amsterdam at the right time. My wife and I loved it!
Enjoyed the tour. The guide was very good, especially with how she could speak multiple languages, hit on highlights on the way out and had the tickets available for entry to the gardens. The visit to the tulip field was nice to get a closer view of the colors and the video was informative relative to how bug a business tulips are in the Netherlands. This is our second tour with the company and both have been very good.
Good tour and tulip farm visit is a great addition to a simple visit of the gardens.
This was the absolute BEST! Not only did we go to the Keukenhof and skip the lines, beforehand we went to a tulip farm and learned about them. The owner took us out into the fields - there were acres upon acres of flowers. The bus then took us past lots more fields with daffodils, hyacinths, and more. Magical!
A great way to see the gaddens and bypass the lines. It would have taken an hour to get tickets in line and we would have missed much of the gardens.
Very friendly, great service and clean coaches.
The tour itself was awesome, because Keukenhof is awesome! The additional time allowed inside the gardens on this tour as opposed to the shorter tour is appropriate, because really you need it. The tour guide was slightly non existent, but that's not really the focus of the tour anyway. Also, the initial "behind the scenes" bit was a bit of a distraction, the photo opportunity to have your picture taken on a field can be fulfilled at Keukenhof itself, and not necessarily at the farm. The farmer himself at this leg of the tour was hospitable, but it seemed unnecessary. Also, keep the weather forecast at hand and pick a sunny day to go, it makes a world of difference.
The park is really gorgeous but...the visit to the Tulip Farm was not worthy. They did not even had tulips but a different bulb with yellow flowers ONLY. They showed us a video of the real, big tulip producers. On the other hand, there was no line at the Park, so there was no need to pay extra to "skip the line". We went there on March 23rd 2014. Next time I will just take the Keukenhof bus.
