What You Can Expect
Inside, an art historian–guide takes your group, limited to 20 people, to select paintings by Van Gogh and provides fascinating background on the artist’s life. You’ll see the work of those who inspired Van Gogh throughout various displays of art by other 19th-century painters. After the tour, enjoy free time to explore more of the museum that houses the world’s largest collection of works by Van Gogh, with more than 200 paintings as well as numerous drawings and letters. Lunch will be at the Van Gogh Museum once you have had time to explore.
Then, appreciate Amsterdam's outdoor beauty with a 75 minute boat tour along the city's UNESCO-listed canals. Enjoy the view as you drift past picturesque canal houses, bridges, classic Dutch gables, churches, towers and other waterfront delights.
Disembark and continue to the Rijksmuseum, a Dutch national museum dedicated to the arts and history of the Netherlands. Enjoy skip-the-line privileges and head straight inside the recently renovated museum, with an collection of one million items, with 8,000 on display in 80 galleries. It was very enjoyable for our whole family. Our tour guide kept it moving and she was very flexible in the crowded galleries. We appreciated her knowledge and her sense of humor.
THE Amsterdam Skip the Line Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum tour including Amserdam Cruise was excellent. Our guide unfortunately can't remember her name was ver personable and had a passion for the art in the museums. The cruise was a perfect break between museums. Would recommend this tour highly.
Very informative, highly intelligent guide would recommend!
Excellent day . Tour guide Peter was excellent , certainly knew all there is to know about Van Gogh.
Trina was very knowledgeable and easy to understand. While it was a long day, it went quickly and had perfectly timed rest stops. Trinka not Trina.

This tour was fantastic! Pieter was our guide and he was extremely knowledgable, personable and funny. We learned so much about art history on this tour. It was just perfect for our group of 6 active American women in our 50s. The Canal tour part is a nice way to have a seat for a short respite. The lunch from the cafe in the Van Gogh museum is ok, but you're there for the art. Your lucky if you get Pieter as your guide!
The guide, Pieter, was fabulous. He truly had a passion for his subject. We thoroughly enjoyed his narrative. Great experience!!
