This was one of my favorite excursions. The tour guides were very pleasant. Quick bus tour with a ride on a boat to Marken. All 3 stops were so beautiful and wish we had more time to wonder around Volendam. Zaanse Schans with the windmills is amazing to see and Marken for the wooden shoes was awesome. I would totally recommend this tour. Windmills, cheese and wooden shoes - who could ask for more!! Volendam was probably my least favorite and the fishing museum was ok but you have the option to pass on it and go with the other tour guide. They were so lovely. Thank you for a memorable day.
The bus restroom did not work which was not fun. :
I would take this tour again. Because of the tour, I may even just take the bus from Amsterdam out to Zaanse Schans and spend the better part of the day.
When I return with my other kids, we will take this tour again.

This was a unique experience and an interesting tour well worth it. A truly Dutch experience windmills , cheese , clogs and Marken everything that we associate with the Netherlands.
We really enjoyed this tour, the guide was excellent, the bus was very comfortable. The scenery was amazing, so picturesque. The day was paced wonderfully would have liked another half an hour at the windmills. All of the places we visited had very enthusiastic staff who loved sharing their stories.
This tour was great. We had a long layover in Amsterdam and choose to do a tour. It was great and we were able to see a lot in the time we were there.

Really enjoyed this trip - plenty of variety, informative and interesting. Guide Astrid was great and had everyone on time and a very pleasant personality. Would highly recommend as a great half day tour without being too long and tiring
This was a great overview tour of the area. We got to see so many things including the wind mill area, cheese making and wooden shoe factory, fishing town and even a boat ride. We were fascinated by the wind mills in Zaanse Schans so we went back the next day in order to spend more time there.
It was a great day for the tour, breezy and cool. The guide was wonderful, very knowledgeable. The ride to the country was comfortable and pretty to see the sights. The windmills were interesting, but the dutch chocolate in the air was divine! Enjoyed the boat ride and sea village. The restaurant for dinner was delish, had local seafood. Service was fast, giving time to look around the area.
Took the extended tour. More time in the windmills will be better.
The driver and tour guide were very friendly and informative, took photos of people and kept things moving on time. It's a nice break from Amsterdam and teaches you quite a lot about windmills, dike building and the history of northern Holland.
I really wish we had a longer time in Zaanse Schans.I suggest that you don and #39;t go to the guided tour in one of the windmills. It and #39;s a 10min walk from the busstop and you could see other stuff in that time. Also in Volendam, I wanted to try the seafood but there and #39;s not enough time. Overall, it was great
Everything went just as planned from the time I booked our tour to the time we returned back to the location we started at. The tour and the tour guides are very well organized and I would definitely take another tour with Viator.
The tour was very well organized, we had great tour guides, and overall this was a great way to spend our morning outside of the typical city scene. We really had a great time visiting the windmills and the Netherlands country side, this was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!
Fantastic, a good Dutch experience! Unfortunate that it was raining when we visited the windmills. Would welcome more time at Zaanse Schans for some shopping.
So much to see and do in this tour, definitely a good one. Our guide was wonderful giving us pleanty of information. The windmills at Zaanse Schans was like stepping back in time so interesting and the atmosphere was peaceful. we could have spent a lot more time here but there was more to see. Next stop Volendam a fishing village, here we saw how cheese was made and had a chance to sample some. There was time here to have a wander and some lunch. Then onwards on a ferry this time to Marken a small village were we saw clogs being made. This was a great tour and would recommend it to all

I would recommend this tour to everyone. The company/guides were amazing and made the trip enjoyable throughout every aspect from bus ride to the sites to the commentary/education. We are a young couple with two small kids, and this was the perfect length of time for them. The views and sites were exactly what we wanted to see when visiting Amsterdam and the entire trip was a positive experience. We did feel a bit rushed to see it all in each of the towns, but this trip hit the highlights.
