A must for first time travellers to the Netherlands. At 5.5 hours it's just the right amount of time.
A wonderful trip with so much packed in, only fault is it would have been lovely to have had more time in all of the places. A very helpful guide who was very willing to answer any extra questions we had and tell us something extra about the country. Particularly loved the fishing village and the boat trip, however we had a beautiful day with lovely sunshine which made it all so much more pleasant.
Time well spent for a half day tour we were back to the city by 1:30PM to visit 3 great places in the outskirts of Amsterdam.
it was verry intresting but we didnt hve time for photos and souvenirs
we had a wonderful experience. Hoped for less time on lunch/food snacks as we wasted nearly 2 hours in a short 5.5 hours trip on halting for a quick bite.
Fantastic half day tour with an enthusiastic, informative host. It was lovely to see some of the countryside outside of Amsterdam - very pretty and interesting places with the windmills dating back centuries and cheese factor being the highlights. Thanks Ruth.
My daughter 23 and I took this tour and just loved it. We were staying in Amsterdam and it was nice to go out of the city to see what it looks like. We met at a location near the Central Station and walked to the buses. After a short ride we first went to Zaanse Schans to see the Windmills, which was really interesting and so pretty. We got to see inside one windmill where they were grinding peanuts into peanut oil, then had a little time to look in various shops. Next we went to Marken and saw a small presentation in a cheese factory. Not a tour, but mainly a presentation where the speaker engaged small children in the audience talking about various kinds of cheese. Again, we had time to shop and eat at one of the local restaurants. Then we took a boat to Volendam, a very cute, picturesque town. Saw a demonstration of how to make a wooden shoe, had a little time to shop and headed back to Amsterdam. This tour was just the right length of time. Tour guide was great. We have taken many of the Viator tours in different European cities and I always like the tour guides. This was well worth the money which was actually quite reasonable.
Very well organized. Met my expectations. Was enough to have a highlight of the region. Highly recommended.
Great tour. Get to know holland a lot more wind mill, cheese, wooden shoes, and their efforts in fighting and managing water.
More than what i expected for only 5 hr. Suggest a little longer at the windmill
Thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Lovely day out seeing the beautiful countryside.
This trip was fantastic. The staff were unbelievably kind and helpful. Very happy to be asked questions and help out with extra info etc. Had a great time at each place. Not a huge amount of time for pics etc but that's not the point of the trip. Best part of my trip to Amsterdam by a mile.
This was a great tour - a good mix of following a guide ours was great! and being able to explore - especially in Volendam and Zaanse Schans.
It would've been nice to spend a little more time but it was only a 5 hour tour so we were prepared for that.
Great tour for getting out into the Netherlands countryside and seeing things outside of the city. Was the perfect pick of a tour for what we wanted.
This was my mom and I favorite tour this trip ! I will came back to Zaans hopefully to stay a few weeks! Beautiful! Tour guide Astrid was excellent !
The tour was great. Great scenery and enjoyable tour guide. A must try!
