I highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Amsterdam for a short time. We were there for 2-1/2 days and this tour is the perfect opportunity to see another side of the Netherlands besides Amsterdam. If you are the type of traveler who likes to spend A LOT of time in one spot, this is not the trip for you. It moves very fast. Do not get 'stuck' buying souvenirs at the Zaanse Schans Windmills stop. We spent way too long searching for the perfect souvenir and didn't realize all of the great walking areas near the windmills. You'll wish you spent more time in Marken, too. What you get is a quick walk around with the tour guide, ours was excellent and spoke several languages. This Dutch village is extremely quaint and beautiful. Overall, I recommend this tour if you are short on time - it is great!!

Great trip. Only wish it was longer. Don't be late getting back to the coach, they'll leave without you. The tour guide was fantastic. She did an excellent job.

This was a great trip. The only way to improve it would be to have a little more time at each stop.

A wonderful trip. This is well worth the price and a delightful excursion outside of Amsterdam with plenty of time to roam about on your own for those who like to shop and sightsee.

Polders, shoe making and cheese making were a good contrast to canals and museums in Amsterdam.

The guide was very informative, but we felt rushed and would have liked to spend a little more time in Zaanse Schans and Marken.

It was a very nice trip into the countryside! A bit short visiting some places, but it did give you a good taste of the area.

Great start to our time in Amsterdam. Good guide and very interesting places. We only had time to take the short tour but would recommend the longer one if possible as we would have liked more time at the windmills and Marken.

We had a good time and met some nice people. Great to see all the different varieties of clogs. Wish we had longer at some of the places. Our tour guide seemed a bit old and tired.

We both really enjoyed this. Our tour guide was fantastic and very friendly. We had a beautiful, sunny day, and it was fun to see the countryside surrounding Amsterdam. Both the cheese farm and the wooden shoe demonstration were informative...touristy, but nice.

It is always a pleasure to visit this area. Last time it was in November, and needless to say, the season didn't allow for the boat trip between Volendam and Marken. It was very nice to be able to share this experience with friends.

I agree with others, not enough time in Zaanse Schans Windmills but worth seeing. The town Volendam was really cool. Wish we could have stayed a little longer in Marken. You just kind of walk through to the bus. The cheese is awesome and I loved the clogs! Nice to get outside the city and see some of the countryside.

Visited many scenic places and was fascinated with the shoe makiing process. Saw the windmills and it was nice to be able to walk around the villages of Volendam and Markem at a leisurely pace.
