Our tour guide was Kenneth and he was so friendly and informative, we had to leave the tour at Santa Monica Beach but Kenneth was able to advise us the easiest way to get to the Staples Centre from there. This tour was well worth doing and would recommend Kenneth.
LOVED this tour, would highly recommend. Kenneth our bus driver was very informative and great entertainment. Possibly could've done with a smaller vehicle given there were only around 17 passengers.
My only regret was basing ourselves in Anaheim the whole time, after seeing these places eg. Beverley Hills, Santa Monica etc would've like to have a few nights to explore some more.
Usually you are given a choice of 2 hours at Santa Monica or Venice beach, we took Kenneths advice and went to Santa Monica which was a great choice. Thanks Kenneth.
Loved it, so much time to explore by yourself and so much fun information
We were happy that we booked this tour as it gave us a look at Down Town LA and ample time to do our own thing as well.really enjoyed the day. Guide was informative and everything ran on time.
Alex our driver was wonderful. His commentary was informative and interesting and he went out of his way to give you photo ops from the bus. He gave great advice as to what to look at while we were there at Hollywood Blvd and what to avoid. I was the only person who took the Venice beach option and he was very helpful with ideas of what to see. Would definitely recommend to anyone with limited time to get a taste of Hollywood.
Our driver Alex was amazing! He was patient at each hotel pickup and thoroughly explained every step of our journey. We learned so much at each stop and all along the way as well. He even made sure we saw an orange tree! Five stars without a second thought ... a great way to spend a day and learn about Hollywood, Santa Monica and Venice beaches and so much more!
We are still raving to anyone who listens about our trip. We absolutely loved it. It was just enough, not too overtiring, the driver was awesome and the stops were perfect. I am now telling anyone at all that is coming or having friends coming to California to do this and not waste time driving up to LA and figuring out where to park and how to get around. This is absolutely the best deal in town. The bus was gorgeous and so comfortable, if I wasn't so busy looking at everything, I might have settled in for a nap. We live in Southern Orange County and refuse to drive further north than Santa Ana so this was perfect for us. The only problem I had was finding the bus terminal, since we live here we had to go there. They could have just told us they were actually located in the parking garage at Garden Walk, but didn't mention that until three desparate phone calls later! And we were late because of an accident on the 5 so spent 15 minutes driving around the block looking for a bowling alley and a fitness center, when they're actually located in the parking structure. But other than that, PERFECTION!
Must do tour of Hollywood, our driver was fantastic and was very informative, we had plenty of time to wander around at our leisure to buy gifts and take photos. If you are in LA worth booking thumbs up.
Loved the tour and guide. Our only complaint was the van. It was very comfortable but not easy to see out of. For a tour it would be good to have better visibility. Everything else was great!
Great tour and good photo stops along the way! However the guide went off topic a couple times and ended up talking about her life instead. However enjoyed the time overall and the shopping and walking around Hollywood Blvd
The Hollywood Highlights and LA Beaches Tour was fun. Bus picked us up near hotel, and dropped us at the GardenWalk to board the bus to Hollywood. The commentary by the driver on the way up was fun at first. I guess when you are driving tourists around day after day, you need to come up with new things so some of what she was pointing out was incorrect. All in all, she was great and had me laughing.
For those of you who have never been to Hollywood, it is not the cleanest city so be forewarned. If you decide to stay in Hollywood the full three hours, go to the Max Factor Museum on Highlands around the corner from the Dolby Theater. For $15, this is a fun place to visit to see some true Hollywood memorbilia. After, head next door to Mel's Diner for lunch.
For the beaches part, we chose Santa Monica. Probably not the best since we had been at Disneyland all week. The pier is great carnival fun and the Santa Monica Beach is spectacular.
