Before your cruise ship departs from the Whittier port -- the main cruise ship port in the Anchorage area, located 1.5 hours away from the city of Anchorage -- you'll be picked up from Anchorage and taken on a 4-hour journey to Whittier. You can choose to get picked up from your Anchorage hotel or the Anchorage International Airport.
Take a tram ride up Mt Alyeska to check out the Roundhouse Museum, Alaska's only mountaintop museum, where you can browse interesting exhibits about pioneer skiers. Admire 360-degree mountain and glacier views before heading back down the mountain for a drive to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.
This privately owned non-profit organization rescues orphaned and injured animals. On your guided tour of the center, get up-close views of bears, moose, elk, caribou and other Alaskan animals.
The scenery on this tour is endless, and you'll make numerous photo stops to savor the views. Snacks and bottled water are provided throughout your tour. You'll arrive in Whittier with plenty of time to catch your cruise!
At time of booking, cruise ship passengers must provide the following information: Anchorage pickup/flight details, ship name and docking time.
