Fish the Kenai or Kasilof River for Salmon
Soak in Alaska's stunning beauty and take home some fresh Alaskan fish on this full-day fishing shore excursion! After pickup from the Anchorage port, take a 2.5-hour journey to Sterling, Alaska. Head to either the Kenai River or Kesilof River, both known for their abundance of salmon. Your knowledgeable guide will select the river with the best fishing conditions for the day.
Once you arrive at the local lodge, enjoy a complimentary lunch before embarking on your adventure. With all your fishing equipment included, set out onto the glacier-fed, salmon-rich river for a 4- to 5-hour fishing trip aboard a drift boat with your guide. Explore the waters at your leisure and fish for king salmon, silver salmon, pink salmon and sockeye salmon. Generally, the months of June and July are good for king salmon and the months of August and September are good for silver salmon.
At the end of the day, head back to the lodge, where any fish you choose to keep will be filleted. You may also choose to have them packaged and shipped overnight to your home for an extra cost. After your fishing tour, you’ll be dropped off at the Port of Anchorage.
