Three days on the complex maze of the Mekong Delta is hardly enough for some people, but this tour will give you a taste of life on the Mekong River and its tributaries.
The Mekong Delta is situated in the Southeast of Vietnam, where the Mekong River approaches and empties into the sea through a network of tributaries. The river is a very important to the local people who live near it as it serves as a natural highway with people busily commuting and trading along Asia's longest river. The Mekong river begins on the Tibetan Plateau and runs through China's Yunnan province, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam.
The tour starts in Ho Chi Minh City and from there we travel to Cai Be. Take a boat cruise down into the heart of the Delta, viewing life as the local population does. Gliding on the bustling waterways we shop at floating markets, eat tropical fruits in lush orchards, look into the art of Bonsai and have tea in a typical boathouse.

For Cruise Passengers:
If you are disembarking from a cruise ship, please note that there are at least 2 main piers that the cruise ship docks at. Saigon port is right near the city and is a pick up point for this tour however Phu My port is located in Vung Tau city, approximately 2 hours drive from Saigon. If your cruise ship docks at Phu Phy port, it is not possible to take a full day tour, only a half day city tour. An additional charge for transfer from Phu My to Saigon and back will be applied for all Port Pick Ups from Phu Phy port.
Our tour starts with a drive through the Mekong Delta to Cai Be floating market, from here we board our river boats for a cruise along the endless waterways of the mighty Mekong. One of our stops will be to a small restaurant serving the local delicacies on the river. We arrive at the lush orchards of Vinh Long where we spend the night in a local house.
Day 2: Vinh Long - Can Tho
After having breakfast, we bid farewell to our hosts we will cruise to visit Ong Giao Garden and the handicraft village to see how bricks and pottery items are made. The visit also allows you to discover how fish sauce and soya bean sauce is made. We will arrive in Vinh Long Town on time for lunch. After lunch we drive to the city of Can Tho, which is considered to be the heart of the Mekong Delta. We will spend the night at our hotel.
This morning we board a motor boar to visit Cai Rang floating market and fruit gardens in Can Tho, before your return back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
