Firstly, I would like to say that we thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The Amalia hotels in Naphthlio and Delphi were excellent with the most wonderful outdoor swimming pools. We needed them for the unusually hot late September weather we encountered. Our only concern is that the tour guide (who was a lovely lady and very entertaining) made us stay in the first part of all the archaeological sites for long periods of time to hear a protracted historical explanation. No doubt the guide was highly qualified in this area and the information very detailed, however it, markedly reduced our free time to roam the site. Some of the sites we had over an hour of this mini lecturing and only 30-40 minutes left to wander around it.
Perhaps this is done deliberately to reduce the numbers of people wandering freely at any one time, however, a detailed written handout given the night or morning before the tour would be preferable for many of us. Perhaps make the lecture optional on arrival at the site. We felt a bit rude wandering off but we had to because we were either getting sunburnt, dehydrated, falling asleep or getting angry watching others freely wandering.
Unfortunately we encountered this with all our other Greek tour guides as well (went on a cruise and another bus tour) so it wasn’t limited to Chat Tours.

Excellent 3-day tour to cover the major sites of mainland Greece that we were keen to see. Right from pickup to the buses and the guide and the hotels and the food, it was the perfect way to see Greece! Rupal Majmudar, Bangalore, India

The tour was very interesting, well-organized and informative (which made it feel very exhaustive at times). We especially liked that our group was small and our fellow tour members were friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to friends and family.

Our guide was outstanding, and the hotels were both comfortable and relaxing. The coach journeys were as pleasant as could be expected, with a good driver. The quality of the trips round the archaeological sites was excellent, with well thought through and informative tours- considerably enhanced by the communication and enthusiasm of the guide. We wondered, however, whether there were too many visits to souvenir shops, and the time could be better spent in getting to the hotels earlier. This would have enabled us to have a little more time to relax, especially at Olympia.

We had a great time. The guide did an excellent job. She talked just enough to give all the necessary information but didn't spend so much time that it got boring. The itinerary was a little vague but we ended up seeing everything that was promised. The hotel accomodations were clean and very nice. All of the meal stops had good food (plenty of it). The only thing I would change is to have more free time at each site. We would get to a site and the tour guide would do some explanation and then let us explore on our own. It was usually an hour or less which wasn't quite enough time. Even withouth lingering, we were hard pressed to see everything at each site without really hurrying. We could have used about 20 minutes more of free time so we could have enjoyed the sites more. The bus did pick us up at our hotel in Athens exactly at the time promised. We had read some reviews were they didn't show up and people had to rush to the company's main office at the last minute. We did have the conceirge call and confirm the first day we were in Athens. We would highly recommend this tour. Well worth the price. The bus was clean, air-conditioned, and the bus driver actually drove well (even on narrow two-lane windy roads we felt safe).
