Excellent tour. Pickup arrangements in rush hour went very smoothly, tour guide excellent and easy to understand, and the sights are breath-taking. The Acropolis Museum is a must-do add-on to this tour and well worthwhile. No complaints whatsoever.
This was a brilliant tour and our guide, Joy, was wonderful. It was well-paced and so informative as to the history and significance of the locations we visited. The Acropolis was magnificent, as was the new Acropolis Museum we visited afterwards. Our guide was fabulous to direct people to their preferred destinations following the tour and we would recommend this without hesistation for anyone short on time in Athens.
Worth every penny! I would have not gotten half as much out of Athens without this tour!
A great way to see the city of Athens and its can't miss attractions. By taking advantage of this tour, one really can see the highlights the city of Athens has to offer in a day. Very knowledgeable guide who offered a lot of local insight and current affairs into our tour. Being atop the Acropolis and standing outside the Olympic Stadium are a couple of things I will always remember!
My husband and I were very impressed with this tour. The group size was perfect, allowing you to hear everything the tour guide discussed and ask questions. Our tour guide, Joy was amazing. She is very knowledgeable in the history of Athens, I wanted to hear more and more! She made the tour even more enjoyable. The Acropolis was breathtaking. We were highly satisfied with this tour! Thank you Joy from CHAT tours, you were so great!!!!
We were vwery hapy to have booked this tour. It gave us a nice idea about the city, the Acropolis and the Musseum.
The tour guide was very good.
You can't go to Athens and not get a tour of the Acropolis. Sure you can do it on your own but its so much better to have a knowledgeable and friendly person taking you through the Acropolis and its awesome museum and really explaining things in detail. Our guide was super friendly and excited to answer our questions and dig deeper into Ancient Greece and all of her wonders and history. She took us to the Panathenaic Stadium first and a short tour around the inner section of Athens, then we went up to the Acropolis and spent plenty of time there to get a good history of the site and take plenty of photos with the amazing views on top of the rock. We ended the tour in the Acropolis Museum which was spectacular and much better having someone explain what we were looking at in great deal. I couldn't recommend this tour more highly for people visiting Athens.
More than perfect to have an idea about history and how to explore the whole area. Don't miss Acropolis Museum.
Excellent tour! Our guide, Daphne, was extremely knowledgeable, answered questions, and gave us a lot of insights into the times, the construction of the temples and the mythology that surrounded the temples. Highly recommend the tour.
Great tour.!!! Our guide was so amazing...talk about coming from the heart !!! she told us many historical background, myth and more...and delivered it as if she was actually there...truly a place to visit while in Athens ..
Highly recommend this tour. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable on the history of all the sites we visited today. A little more time at the acropolis would have been better. Many say you can do the acropolis and the sites on your own, which is true, but you miss the background/history.
Absolutely excellent tour! The guide was extremely knowledgeable, funny and absolutely captivating. She just made the tour so much fun and really worth it. Would absolutely recommend it!
Well worth every penny and more! Absolutely amazing guide. She knew so much and had an amazing sense of humor which made the tour such an excellent experience. Absolutely GREAT!
The tour was outstanding. Our guide did a great job and was very conscientious of all in our group. She did a nice job of explainig things and answered questions. You folks are doing a nice job.
Painless and easy. Pickup was as scheduled in the lobby of the Intercontinental Hotel, after a short ride to the vendors headquarters to pickup the remaining guests we were on our way. Our guide who is a archeologist was very knowledgeable and passionate about her job and made the tour even more meaningful.
If you want a quick tour round Athens that captures all the main historical attractions this is the tour for you. The tour guide was also very very informative about greek culture past and present and also mythologically.
Tour guide made this educational experience truly top notch. Her interesting, detailed, and thorough presentation was nothing short of amazing. Paul
Great tour, very organized and the guide was excellent. I will highly recommend this tour.
The guide was excellent. The new museum was great. The Acropolis was magnificent.
My first full day in Athens had to begin with the Athens half day tour, simply because if anyone is coming to Athens, then it would stand to reason that they are there to visit the Acropolis. Our tour guide was excellent, and gave details and a little history into everything we passed that was of some importance. The Acropolis and the museum, of course, were the highlights of this trip, and the reason I was there, and wish now I had also booked the Acropolis night tour. I don’t think that this needs to be your first time visit to Athens though to enjoy the tour, and I would certainly go again. I would advise the wearing of shoes with good grip on the soles, as when you are in the Acropolis, (which by the way is NOT the temple that you see, but everything within the walls), you will find that the path can be very slippery and uneven. There is a refreshment bar near to the entrance.
Once you have visited the Acropolis, the next stop is the museum, where no photography is allowed at all, until you reach the top floor. On approach to the entrance, you will walk across a glazed floor and look down onto excavations and see the mosaic decorated floor of ancient Roman ruins. This extends well into the museum itself, and again, you will be walking on glass.
Fantastic half day that gives you an introduction into ancient Greece.
